The queen bed frame came in two separate long boxes. I managed to get them up the stairs without help. I checked to see that everything was there including hardware and it was. The quality of the material and frame itself is good. It started out as an easy project until I came to the two horizontal center support beams which had nowhere to connect to the frame. They were each a bit short to reach the middle support beam and there were no screw holes on either side to connect them. I looked high and low and couldn't figure it out so had to rig it together and screw the pieces into the wood as far as I could without an electric screwdriver. Not fun. There were minimal written instructions-mostly pictures. The screws that were supposed to stabilize the legs from spinning didn't have a place to screw into either so I ended up not using them. There were plastic pieces for each side of the slats to connect to the frame that were difficult to fit on the ends and I had to stand on the slats with all my weight to push them into place on the frame. The bed is overall a little bit too long for a standard queen leaving several inches of space but it is hidden by the comforter so not noticeable. What would have taken a couple hours to put together for an amateur took much longer. However, it is sturdy, does not make any noise, and I am overall pleased with it.
