A:  Yes... we fry turkey and chicken (delicious), as well as low country boils..... and crawfish and shrimp boils, also.

    A:  Yes, of course. Just make sure you don't fill your boil pot too full so when you put your items in it doesn't overflow. You'll want a high-temp thermometer for oil. Peanut oil works the best for deep frying - it can get hotter without burning off. Also works for boiling water, for steaming or boiling.

            Performed as expected. Fit inside my pot and allowed me to deep fry and remove smaller items easily. We had a vegan Thanksgiving and I fried two Tofurkys, cauliflower steaks, and breaded green beans. This basket made it easy as relatively safe.

              This item seems great for its intended use. We tried to use it as a sieve to press the crushed apple for cider. It did not work well. It is aluminum and it burst upon the first press. Just in case someone else had the same brainy idea as me.
