Product Details

Prevent carpenter bees from drilling holes in your home or wooden posts using this Bees N Things Hanging Carpenter Bee Trap. This clever trap catches the carpenter bees in your area, keeping them from damaging your siding or other wooden structures. The wooden body naturally attracts carpenter bees to the unit and avoids trapping other insects. Entry holes on 3-sides of the wooden block allow the bees to access the trap but not easily find their way out. They are directed into the plastic jar, from which they cannot escape. Simply unscrew the trap reservoir to empty the captured bees. Hang this trap with the included hook or simply rest it on a level surface. Hang or place this trap near the damaged areas and its 5 ft. to 15 ft. effective radius will do the rest. Protect your wooden structures by eradicating carpenter bees with this Hanging Carpenter Bee Trap.
  • Cath and release (optional)
  • Hangs, mounts or sits on any wooden structure

Q:How friendly is this?( I knock them down with a tennis racket and then kill them. They need to be eliminated they're destructive, but I have owned pest killers that lure them to be trapped for days until they dehydrate or starve which is cruel in my mind)

A:  Thank you for your question. Bees enter the trap and cannot get out. They will die as a result of having no access to food or water.

      Answer This Question

A:  No. You do have to hang the trap where the bees want to nest. This might take a little trial and error. But once one gets in, the others will quickly follow.

              Caught 6 in 2 days
Despite some of the negative reviews here, we were desperate! And having a good experience. Recently plugged holes and painted our home. Saw the bees coming back and placed this trap where yet would usually bore holes, caught 6 of them within 2 days. Happy customer.

                Works Great

                  7 caught within 72 hours
We had 2 in the trap in less than 60 minutes. Trap has been up for 72 hours and already has 7 trapped. Placement is key and worked like a charm. 3 more to catch on the other side of the house. Gonna leave it up and see if it lures from a distance out of curiosity… Was skeptical with some of the reviews but it worked for us great.

                    Bee gone
We have tried everything to get rid of the wood bees with no luck, other than when you actually hit one down. Have to be leary of spraying chemicals, as we have koi ponds below. Purchased this trap and am very happy with it. At first just placed it on railing and only caught one but then we hung it where they are active and they all joined the party.

                      Be (carpenter) BEE FREE!
Put one up where there was bee activity. I hung the trap to COVER ONE OF THEIR HOLES WITH ONE OF THE TRAP HOLES and BOOM! We started catching them immediately! Within a couple hours of hanging them we had managed to trap 14! We didn't need the bee bait, their pheromones, that even of the dead ones, kept attracting new bees. I am confident that within a few more days, we will be carpenter bee free ❤️

                        Amazing trap
After 4K dollars worth of repairs from carpenter bees I was willing to try anything. Pesticides don’t work for these determined bees and they will infest and destroy your home. So after replacing an entire front deck I saw these in Home Depot and bought two to place on each side of the deck. With in two days of installing them I captured 25 carpenter bees and two black wasps. Only moments after emptying the traps and reinstalling I captured an additional two bees. These traps work !

                          It works!
I put it up about a month or so ago and forgot about it. Today with the warm weather I went outside and heard a buzzing over my head and looked up and there were two bees inside of it. I will be purchasing at least one more.

I was skeptical about how well these things would work....
I was skeptical about how well these things would work. I am not skeptical anymore. It's incredible the number of bees I found in these traps. It was slow at first, but they do the job. I will clean them out and continue to use them.

Was skeptical but it works really well.
I purchased this trap without much hope that it would trap any bees. I set it our on our deck where we had a lot of Bee activity and low and behold I caught two on the first afternoon I set it out. It seemed as if once i caught one all the bees came running. In all i caught 12 in one week. What is strange is that we only ever noticed 3-4 bees in the area of the deck but we caught this many without ever moving the trap to a different area of the property where bees were also active. I have noticed a considerable drop in bee activity all around my property now. I would recommend this product to anybody that is having an issue with Carpenter Bees for sure. Good product.
