Product Overview

All Weather XL Tiles are the premier choice of interlocking floor tiles. True to their name, these tiles can withstand hot sun and cold winters. The unique structure means the floor is supported on a framework of legs which allow it to carry heavy weights and at the same time provide a cushion effect. Beautiful colors will enhance any space. The All Weather XL Tiles feature our exclusive, built-in Expand Tabs, which connect the tiles together, absorb tile expansion with changes in temperature, and eliminate tile buckling common to most other tile systems. The tiles are for both indoor and outdoor use. Install them in your garage, storeroom, laundry room, sauna, mudroom, balcony, patio, pool area, terraces, decks, porches, indoor and outdoor shower areas, locker rooms, basements, office space and more.

Questions & Answers

Can the tiles withstand the weight of a 15 ft round pool full of water?

Asked by Flo83 August 26, 2020
1
Answer

This will depend on the base of the pool. If the entire base is supported by the tiles, then yes, the XL Tiles should support the weight. If, however, the pool base is on smaller pads that have the point load going to a small space, they may not support that weight. It's hard to give specifics - it'd also depend on how tall the pool is and how much water is in the pool to provide a more specific answer.

Bergo XL Tile are slip resistant.

Are these hard plastic, or flexible rubber?

Asked by anthony June 5, 2020

Answer

The Bergo XL Tiles are made from a sturdy, recyclable PP-composite (polypropylene). This is solid and while there is flexibility to allow for expansion and contraction, they are not a soft rubber.

They will expand and contract - up to an inch over a 18 foot length I think. I made the mistake of nailing the perimiter tiles on a floating dock. Over the winter some of the tile joints came loose due to contraction. I'm now removing those nails and snapping the tiles back into place. I should have used the bergo edging as recommended to allow the tiles to float!
