I've never used a torch before and was a little...
I've never used a torch before and was a little intimidated by it. But I wanted to learn torch fired enameling. I bought this torch because the hose would make it easier to fire under my tripod. I was nervous to fire it up the first time but there was no reason to be afraid. It was extremely simple to use and performs beautifully for my needs. I especially like the locking function so I don't have to hold the button down while firing my enamel. That allows me to really focus on the enameling stages and process. My son also tried it and loved it so much he went and bought one for himself. So far it's ignited every time I've hit the fire button. And it's very simple and straight forward to use.

If you read the one and two star reviews you’ll notice they all talk about the same issues.. I should have listened because mine has the same faulty trigger igniter. If it broke while it’s in the package, I don’t even want to know how tempermental it is after I’d exchange it for a working one! Just going to return it and stick with what I got now.

great value. I was able to braze a bolt...
great value. I was able to braze a bolt onto a nut connector to help remove my one back tire on my riding lawnmower. Also I used the heat to help get the frozen rime off.
