The Bernzomatic® FireStarter™ Blaze Torch (JT855) is approximately 39 inches long. Retail product specifications list its product height/length at 39 in.
After 5 t0 10 minutes my new Blaze Torch flames out. I have to wait a few minutes then restart it. Should I have the tank valve wide open or open just one turn.

Does this kill weeds?
Thank you for contacting Bernzomatic. Yes, the Firestarter™ Blaze Torch can be used for chemical-free weed removal. The high-output wide brush flame is designed to quickly heat weeds, causing the plant cells to burst. You do not need to burn the weeds to ashes. A brief pass over the weeds is typically enough to damage them, and they will begin to wilt and die over the next few days. For best results, use the torch on young, actively growing weeds and always follow the safety instructions in the owner's manual. Avoid using the torch during dry or windy conditions and keep the flame away from combustible materials.
Firestarter Blaze uses that nine sixteenths inch left-handed thread on the torch side and a POL fitting on the tank connection

Why does flame go out during high output
Hello, and thank you for your question. You may be holding the torch too close to the ground, which can cause it to go out. The Home Depot I bought this from only sold 15 pound propane tanks. Will it work with that instead of the 20 pound one?
No, you need the 20lb tank for the Blaze torch.
