Can I use this torch head on a mapp gas cylinder?

Asked by BigPRO January 29, 2021

Answer

Hello, and thank you for your question. This torch is only compatible with propane fuel. If a torch is needed for both propane and Map/Pro, please look into the TS4000 or TS8000. If you have any additional questions, please email us at Bernzomatic@WorthingtonIndustries.com. Thank you.

Answer

Hello, and thank you for your contact. Some waste and recycling management companies will take empty fuel canisters. As far as canisters that still have fuel, it would be best to reach out to your local solid waste authority for better advice. Please see the link here: https://www.bernzomatic.com/About-Bernzomatic/CylinderSafe for a solid waste authority near you. If you need further assistance, please email us at Bernzomatic@WorthingtonIndustries.com. Thank you.

Can this torch kit heat up wrought iron metal enough to soften and bend or twist for art project?

Asked by Mitchp June 16, 2020

Answer

Hello and thank you for your question. This torch is best used for more light projects, such as light soldering, plumbing, and some heat applications. For your project, we would advise a higher heat torch, such as the TS4000. If you have any additional questions, please email us at Bernzomatic@WorthingtonIndustries.com. Thank you.

Auto ignites - red button/trigger pushes to ignite with spark.

I am a beginner and wanted to buy this to put a coupling to repair a pinhole leak on a 3/4” pipe, would this product work for that?

Asked by Paneerlovr October 23, 2019

Answers

As my review noted, I wouldn't recommend it because the solder/flux is such poor quality. It is also a poor value as they give you very little flux and solder. The torch is fine, but I'd buy separate flux and solder.
