Purchased 5/4/2015 from HD. Jack was leaking hydraulic fluid out of the box. Tightened everything...
Purchased 5/4/2015 from HD. Jack was leaking hydraulic fluid out of the box. Tightened everything, added fluid. Jack handle and foot pedal fall off repeatedly. Foot pedal doesn't allow jack to slide under lower cars and foot pedal doesn't always work. Cannot remove foot pedal because retaining bolt is broken in place and would have to be drilled out. Jack handle finally broke completely off when pot metal parts broke apart trying to lift a 2009 Buick Enclave. Never lifted anything heavier than my wife's Enclave. This is the worst jack I have ever owned and the worst jack I have ever used.

Do Not Buy
This Jack has malfunctioned in the first 6 months of owning it. The one year “warranty” only covers parts and they do not assist you in replacing.

This Jack came with a simple and easy to follow...
This Jack came with a simple and easy to follow instructions on preparing it to be used. And after several months of using it out in my shop on an old truck restoration project. It has worked perfectly.

kd 3.5 Big Red Jack review
I threw two jacks away to spend more money on this jack about 2 years ago.
I took the foot lever off right away do to clearance issues with my lexus 350.
The jack started leaking oil right away, I filled it a couple of times.
The jack has never held the load for very long (less than an hour).
I tried to jack up my truck 2 days ago and the jack lift moved about 1/4" with each stroke of the handle.
I don't trust lifting anything with this jack, let alone crawling under a vehicle lifted by this jack.
Why is it so hard to find a descent floor jack?
Originally I liked the heavy duty frame, the quick foot lever seemed different, but in practice the hydraulics are what makes the good jack.

The release is a bit sudden and sometimes difficult to disengage when weight is on the jack. Otherwise, lifting is effortless and I feel confident that it will take care of any truck I would ever plan on getting.
