Is this okay to use on Roses and Azaleas

Asked by Michael March 30, 2021
1
Answer

Hi, Michael. To note, we do offer a product called BioAdvanced All In One Rose & Flower Care that is better formulated for roses and other flowering shrubs. However, BioAdvanced Tree & Shrub Protect & Feed is safe for use on flowering shrubs, like rose bushes or Azaleas, when applied according to label directions. -Madison

That is a great question! Since the 12 Month Tree & Shrub Protect & Feed is not formulated for use on edibles we would recommend keeping the product 3-5 feet away from all edible plants to ensure that they will be safe for consumption. Jessica

can I use it in big containers in my balcony ( dwarf Japanese maple and a few more)

I don't know if you can use it in a container plants, but I don't see the advantage of using it on a plant that can be cared for easily on a patio. I use it for borers and tree infestations where spraying is difficult or impossible. It is a very effective treatment and I use it annually.

Does this protect Japanese maple trees from bugs?

Hi Richard! Yes it will! You may safely apply the product to your Japanese maple to control listed pests! Jessica

It is very effective against aphids. I use it on my ornamental plums and my crepe myrtle trees. It cannot be used on fruit trees unless you don't intend to eat the fruit.

We would not recommend applying this product to any fruit, berry, or nut producing trees. Unfortunately, the product is not formulated for use on edibles plants or trees. For insect control you may want to consider using our Natria Neem Oil. This product will control listed pests and diseases and may be applied to all edible plants. Jessica

Asked by John February 15, 2020

Answer

Unfortunately, this product is not listed for the control of bagworms. We do not have a soil systemic at this time that will control the insects. We do have sprays that may be applied such as our 3 in 1 Insect, Disease, & Mite Control spray. You can spray every 7-14 days as needed for an active infestation or once per month as a preventative. Jessica

Pine trees can you use to much where kill the tree our to little?

Asked by DL July 19, 2019
1
Answer

When applying the product to younger trees we recommend not applying if the trunk circumference is less than 1 inch. You will want to apply 1/4 cup of product for every inch of your measurement. If your trunk is less than one inch we would recommend applying a foliar treatment such as our 3 in 1 Insect, Disease, & Mite Control spray to help protect from insects and diseases. Jessica

This product saved our Magnolia tree
In 2015, our Magnolia tree was so infested with aphids that black pus dripping from its covered our sidewalks and driveway. We called a tree service to remove the tree but the arborist from that company recommended we try this project first and we did. Amazing results. We have treated it annually ever since and tree's magnificent blooms are a favorite in our neighborhood. I used the liquid form of the product but could only find the dry version this year (2020). No matter how much I "squeezed" to remove the top as instructed, I could NOT open it until I removed the stop tabs with a razor blade. I'm pretty strong but your packaging engineers must have gorilla strength to remove this top. That said, I won't reduce the product rating because I would have eaten the top off is necessary to get to the product inside that is what helps me tree.

Great product for my trees!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Bayer Tree and Shrub Concentrate on my Redbud sapling, dogwood trees, azaleas and clematis for several years with amazing results. It is a low cost, very easy and quick to apply solution to pests and is also a slow release fertilizer. Best of all, only one application per year keeps all of the trees and shrubs healthy and looking great for the entire season. When my friends ask how come their yards don't look as good as mine, I advise them to use Bayer Tree and Shrub Concentrate like I do.

Save your Trees The Easy Way
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are both SunBurst Locust trees about 3 feet tall. One tree is treated with Bayer Tree and Shrub Granules in early Spring, The defoliated tree was not. Surprisingly these Caterpillars did their damage so rapidly that I noticed one morning that these untreated trees had been defoliated, when the night before they were in perfect condition. This product is so easy to use and it lasts all season the application.

Scale on crape myrtles
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We landscape as a Tarrant County Master Gardeners, a homeless shelter Union Gospel Mission. Three crape myrtles have had scale on there trunks and branches. It was unsightly and located in front of mission which is very visible. We applied the 12 month protect and feed product two years ago along with dormant oil spray in late January. We are in zone 7B or 8A and it has kept the scale from returning. We apply in the spring. Thanks for this product. It is easy to use and works. Gay Larson Coordinator for TCMGA
