      A:  Hi Andy, if you are washing the sheets, it would be a good idea to wash the protector also as the top panel of the protector does absorb liquid, but should not allow anything to pass through to the mattress cover as the back panel features a waterproof laminate. Be sure to follow the care instructions: Machine wash warm, separately, gentle cycle. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low. Do not iron. Do not dry clean.

        I get a great night's sleep
        Keeps bed cool. We have a foam mattress and I sleep really well. Never gets too hot

          Smelly and slippery
          On the upside, this is relatively quiet as far as waterproof toppers go. It doesn't seem to hold heat too much (some, but not a lot). The downside- it has a really odd smell even after a couple weeks and a wash. The part that makes me regret buying this is how slippery the fabric on top is- it's like being on a slip n slide every night and I basically have to put the fitted sheet back on entirely every morning. Really bummed I can't return it because I certainly can't sleep on it.
