Questions & Answers

Will you cut this panel a little bit smaller? Like 40” x 20”.

Asked by: DO
This material cuts very well. I use a 96 tooth 10" blade Freud Diablo on my table saw for a flawless edge. With any finish wood, a topknotch blade like this is essential.

If I seal this, would it be okay to use as the base of a treehouse? The treehouse will have walls and a roof, but obviously not as water tight as an actul house.
Asked by: Beam
NO. Exterior projects call for pressure treated lumber expressly listed as Exterior. No part of a non-air conditioned space can be built with interior lumber. This panel is also far to expensive for your application. Buy PT exterior materials.

Is this panel suitable for exterior use under a covered porch?
Asked by: LM
NO This is strictly interior material, intended for fine furniture or other other finished work. You must use exterior-rated materials under your porch to protect from rot and insects.

What grit size would I need to make it smoother? I know it is already smooth and a grit too course would make it worse.
Asked by: Ronix137
I would use only very fine grits. The surface is quite smooth, so sand very lightly with 150 or finer grit before your first application of stain or other finish. That coat will raise the grain a little, more so if it is water-based. Then use 220 grit in the direction of the grain for very fine sanding before top coat(s). And be very meticulous about wiping off all dust before each coat.

The product was in good shape, with a few scratches and dings, but what you would expect from any plywood purchase. The size made it easy and convenient to cut on my table saw. So far have not found any voids. Currently still working on the project, but have purchased these panels in the past and have never had any problem with them. Because of the size, you can put them in your car or SUV with no problem. I would recommend this product.

Wanted perfectly flat smooth surface. This 3/4" 5 ply, plywood fit the bill. Replaced original partical board. What A Difference! Paid premium for top quality plywood but well worth it. Should last me another 10 years!

Very fine material for cabinetry and other projects calling for great strength and a material and is perfect flat and stable. The face is smooth and flawless for staining or painting, but I also use it for its strength and stability under veneers and other surface materials.

Picked out two pieces; both had a nice light colored peak of grain in the middle. Very Striking to me. I now have a rolling cart with two matching shelves for my mini lathe. Not a 5 star because there were a couple of small cavities visible on the edges.
