Yes. Includes screws and a long angled wall strut that you screw into the wall, then hang the mantle off it. Comes with a nice install manual.
We do not suggest cutting the mantel.
If you mean "above" a short stacked stone wall, then yes. If you mean, can you mount it to the face of stacked stone, that would be difficult. It does not come with the hardware for that type of install. You'd have to use anchors to mount the wall strut. May not look good, as I would expect gaps in some locations between the mantle and stone (unless the stone is perfectly flat).
