Every Blendtec is professional-grade with one of the most powerful motors in the industry, one of the longest warranties in the business, and fashion-forward industrial designs that look great on your countertop. Blendtec blenders are the most advanced blenders you can buy. Engineered and manufactured at our Headquarters in Orem, Utah. The Blendtec Designer 725 gives you seamless precision speed control for 100 speeds with the slide of a finger. It even tells you which speed to use for stirring, chopping, mixing, blending, or pureeing. Use Multi-Speed Pulse for an added burst of power at any speed. The Blendtec Designer 725 is truly the blender with a brain. Our exclusive SmartBlend technology senses and identifies potential problems that could interfere with your blend-including loading errors, overheating, or air pockets - and then tells you how to fix them. Six preprogrammed custom cycles enable one-touch blending: Smoothie, Salsa, Ice Cream, Whole Juice, Hot Soup, and Clean. The Blendtec Designer 725 even suggests additional uses for each cycle so you know how to get the most from your blender.
  • Program settings: six preprogrammed cycles with smart blend technology (smoothies, dips, ice cream, juice, hot soups, and self-cleaning). smart blend technology senses and identifies potential problems that could interfere with the perfect blend, including Loading errors, or air pockets and then tells the user to fix them.
  • Speed Control/Smart Blending: 100 speeds giving the ultimate in precise control. Blender prompts user when more liquid must be added. Graphic OLED with four languages (English, Spanish, French and German) displaying cycle details. Easy to clean touch screen control is intuitive and attractive.

5000 cycles and going strong
After 8 plus years, about 3,025 days, we just hit 5,000 cycles on the counter. Not a single issue ever, so I owe it a review. We are not nice to this blender. We jam pack it every morning for our breakfast of four servings. Raw beats, carrots, nuts, frozen fruit, ice... Smooth and perfect drinks every time. I've read posts that knock the blades for not being razor sharp. I wish they understood that it is by design. I'm not sure how a Ninja would do against a raw beat 5,000 times, and I've never cut myself. I'm sure Vitamix is well built, but I sure am glad I have not had to look at that thing all this time. This unit fits on the counter and looks good sitting there. It is designed to clean easy and it still looks brand new. No question, you can buy cheaper blenders. We purchased the Designer 725 after blowing up 3 cheap blenders in a year, which ruins your morning or party. We'll be sad to see it go some day, but the very next day we will be going with another Blendtec!

All-American Power that's Gorgeous & User-Friendly
I want a blender that is: 1) Powerful 2) Low Maintenance 3) Made in USA 4) Gets The Job Done 5) Easy to Clean 6) Easy to Use 7) Fits Under Counter and/or Stores Easily At the coffee chain I used to work for, we used Blendtec/K-Tec machines for massive amounts of frozen drinks. We used them all day long at the shop and they took the kind of beatings a teenager would give a rental car. I had experience with the efficiency and durability of Blendtec equipment before my search for a home machine began. Primarily, this 725 is used for smoothies. A lot of frozen fruit is whipped together here. The consistency is perfect. My better half wants to make blended cocktails which is great because it reminds me of all the daiquiris my grandparents made. Standard size ice cubes are smoothly dealt with but I once used cocktail size 2" square ice cubes and learned their density and size blends super noisy and require extra pulses to smooth out. My mistake. (A glass pitcher could have exploded). I've learned to freeze fruit--watermelon, berries, bananas, rather than use much ice at all. Smoothies are what I want with more fibre and body. Note: Do not expect to blend frozen things without making some noise. The start of the cycle for dense frozen stuff is loud on any blender. Complaining about a blender being loud is like saying a monastery is too quiet. Would you play your Motorhead albums at low volume? Embrace the sound…good things come of it. That said, the 725 is loads quieter than a lot of competitors. I believe the Wildside jar kind of muffles sound and the motor casing of the blender is solidly built. Loving the touchpad control. Presets are great, smoothie and cleaning presets works awesome. The 0-100 speed manual 'pulse' control is super cool. Rev your engines! Very easy to read the digital screen and easy to push the right buttons. Yes the entire machine looks like a smart phone. I love the modern look. It's smooth exterior makes it easy to clean- no knobs to muck up or break off. Cleaning is a snap. Put a cup of H2O and a drop of dish soap in the pitcher and push the 'clean' mode button. Rinse with tap water and you're done. Sponge and fingers fit right in there to get out the sticky ickies. And the not-sharp Blendtec blade is way safer for cleaning than sharp blades. Years ago I had one of those centrifugal juice extractors and hated the cleaning (and tossing out all that excellent fibre). It's not too tall like competing blenders so it stores easily. If you have the counter space you will proudly display the Designer 725 in your kitchen. Ours sleeps under the sink beautifully. Did I mention the power? 3.8hp is a third of the motor in my Vespa. I figure this blender would do 40mph with a normal size human riding it if it were a motorbike. The 725 has the HP of a serious commercial machine that solidly puts it in the Pro category. For me that's a feature delivering astonishing performance for price. Blendtec's engineering and design orientation of putting giant motors in tiny things speaks to me. Owning stuff that's made in America makes me feel like I'm standing for native industries and jobs. This thing is heavier than other home 'prosumer' Blendtec machines but very hard frozen ingredients will make it wander a bit at the start of a cycle. My grandma always put a hand on top of her old blender and I tend to do the same with the Blendtec until the big chunks are initially pulverized. It just feels right to do this even though the lid attaches well. (Coffee shop frappes proved the lids stay on). The VM 750 was competing for my attention as it meets many of my criteria and is a bit heavier but I am stoked with the Blendtec 725 as my one and only home blender. I want to try the Twister Jar as the full size Wildside+ jar is way too large for things like pesto in the small amounts my household needs for a week. Blendtec's website has tons of information and support. The recipes online give lots of inspiring ideas. I'm a research before I buy kind of person so this was very helpful. Now we consume more fruit and vegetables. I've lost a tiny bit of weight and feel real good. It's fun to use and good for me.

All I can say is...WOW!
My wife and I purchased our first Blendtec 6 years ago, but we gave that Classic blender to our daughter, and upgraded to the 700 series recently. This new 700 is quieter, and the illuminated touch-pad is state of the art. I watched one of your demonstrators, and heard him say, "This is the Rolls Royce of blenders," and it truly is. Thanks Blendtec! My wife and I love your blenders. It is the best kitchen investment we have ever made

Great results but some annoying flaws.
This blender is easy to use and delivers really awesome blending results. Smoothies and soups of all kinds turn out great with the Wildside+ Jar and nut butter, curry pastes and small portions are easy to make with the Twister Jar. The machine is very loud, but that didn't came as a surprise. Unfortunately, there are some caveats: One minor thing: The german translation is quite bad, so I decided to let it speak english. One annoying thing: It does not have a physical power switch. You have to plug the cord off the wall, if you don't want to let it use standby-energy. Another annoying thing: Blendtec advertises this device as a good looking appliance, hence the name "Designer". It really is. But not for a very long time. After around 50 blends, the upper layer of the satinated plastic of the jar mount gets scrubbed off and gets welded into the jar's base (see photos). Blendtec obviously chose the wrong kind of plastic or they should have taken rubber feet, that can be replaced when wearing off. Also I had to "read error" messages, that interrupted my blending, but only two or three times so far. I highly sophisticated device like this should habe the ability to get user manageable firmware-update, so why is there no USB-port on the back of the machine? If the firmware has bugs, I have to send it in, that's neither a good solution for me, nor Blendtec. As you may have seen from my review, I'm using a european 230V version. So, if Blendtec eliminates these issues, the Designer 725 would be absolutely perfect.

After much intensive research, I decided to purchase the Blendtec 725 over the Vitamix A2500 that I had my eye on. Good decision! Makes smoothies perfectly, just like the Blendtec professional blenders used in several national smoothie chains. My wife and I intend to use it for much more than that, though. We're waiting on Blendtec's Twister Jar, to make hummus and nut butter. Speaking of jars, Blendtec's are unmatched. They're durable, easy to clean, feature a strong safe blade, and come in several varieties to meet any need. We invested in this blender for better health, and, to save $$$ on smoothies which run $7 a pop, minimum, at the smoothie shops. Finally, it's super easy and fun to use. It's built like an anvil, powerful, yet surprisingly not as noisy as lesser powered blenders. Yes, it's expensive, but well worth it.
