  • Prefer sunny location
  • Grows 6 ft. to 8 ft. tall

i need to repot my meyer tree what type of soil to use
Asked by: misty
A commercial potting mixture with good drainage is a better choice. The ideal soil pH for lemon trees is between 5.5 and 6.5. To make your own well-drained potting mixture for fruit trees, you can mix equal parts peat, sand and perlite or bark.

Bought this over the summer and had in the sunniest place in the years still in its pot. I transplanted this into a pot to bring indoors due to the cold outside. So far ok after transplant. Does it need 6 plus hours of sun? Also the window is next to the heat vent, will it be a problem? When will I get lemons on it.
Asked by: Bee
I have mine in a pot year round and exclusively outside during spring thru fall when there is no threat of frost. Having other plants near vents watering becomes a concern as it will dry up faster, Personally I would not place it close to direct heat vent. I am in the 2nd year of mine and no fruit yet, and did not expect any this year. Now that the plant is about 3 feet tall, next year I expect some activity, minimally flowering, which I have not yet seen any.
