About This Product

Unsurpassed quality of our blue ridge wide plank Castlebury white oak natural Eurosawn textured engineered hardwood flooring is achieved by hand-selecting only the finest pieces of sustainably harvested Appalachian Oak and pairing them with layers of real, solid wood that are permanently bonded together in a stable, cross-ply construction. This exquisite hardwood flooring is crafted using traditional Northern European methods that expose the heart of the timber and reveal a tighter and more consistent wood grain pattern. The textured, brushed wide planks feature natural variations such as knots and mineral streaks to give the flooring a rustic, yet refined feel. Click lock construction makes installing flooring on any level of your home quick and easy. The timeless beauty of this premium flooring is protected by a moisture-resistant, low-gloss aluminum oxide finish that is 10-times stronger than traditional urethane finishes. Questions & Answers

What underlayment is suggested for this product?

Answer This Question

Hello and thanks for contacting us. If installing over concrete, you must use an underlayment with a built in moisture barrier or a foam underlayment, maximum of 1/8" thick, with a 6mil polyfilm underneath. Home Depot has different brands with a built in moisture barrier such as Pergo Floormate or Roberts Airguard. You should be able to find these products sold in stores. If you have other questions please e-mail us at customerservice@blueridgehardwood.com.

I am installing this floor on top of an existing wood floor. I would like to use a no VOC underlayment and found this, which has sound and vapor barrier, and it's 0,125mm thick. Can you please let me know if this is a good substitute for the 2-in-1 foam u

    Answer This Question

Hello and thanks for contacting us. As long as the underlayment is maximum 1/8" thick with cushion it should be acceptable. We are not able to see the underlayment in question. You may reach out to our customer service team at customerservice@blueridgehardwood.com.

Is this flooring resistant to dog claw scratches?
          ByJul 18, 2023
          1 Answer |
          Answer This Question

Hello and thanks for contacting us. This is a solid hardwood floor and is NOT scratch resistant. The floor does feature a urethane based aluminum oxide finish which is more abrasion resistant that your standard polyurethane but it can still be scratched. We recommend you keep your pets nails trimmed and use walk off mats at entry ways. If you have other questions please e-mail us at customerservice@blueridgehardwood.com.

What is the VOC level for this product? Also in product details it's stated that veneer tickles is 1.2 mm. However, in the Q&A it is 3mm. Which one is correct? Thanks.

Hello and thanks for contacting us. The veneer thickness is 1.2 MM. We will update the Q&A answer to reflect that. Measured Concentration of Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC) is less than/equal to 0.5 mg/m3 (in compliance with CDPH/EHLB Standard Method v1.2-2017) and FloorScore certified to meet all indoor air quality.

                  Great so far!!
We bought this flooring to put in our entire upstairs. We have installed 2 large bedrooms so far and they look beautiful! Only thing I can complain about is the number of warped boards. I know there are going to be imperfect boards and we have those too. But at times, every board in a box was warped. Maybe this is normal.... It's my first install. I would still recommend this product. Once you get the hang of the installation, you move right along...

                    Looks great
I like the feel and look of the product. The light wood tone makes the room spacious and cool. At first it was not easy to install, but after finishing three to four rows, my husband and I got used to and speed up. We finished one room and two more rooms to continue. So far we are satisfied and good product for the price.

                      Love the Look
I ordered the flooring and was told it would take 2 weeks to come in. It arrived in less than a week. As with any floating floor the first row is the hardest to make and keep straight until you have several rows installed. I recommend a tapping block to completely seat the joints. We love the looks on the floor and the variation in color. As with another review, I only buy made in the USA product, so that is a plus. Unlike other reviews, I wish I had more shorter pieces. I only had one box that had a lot of them, and did not like cutting a short piece out of a 4 foot piece.

                        Quality flooring, budget friendly
I put this floor in my great room and office in place of the carpet. It turned out even better than I hoped and really changed the feel of the rooms. My house is a mix of old and new stuff so I wanted a floor that would compliment my décor. The planks are wide and kind of rustic which is what I wanted. My installer said he didn’t have an problems putting it down.

Update: We reached out to the customer and they confirmed they installed all of the flooring that they received. We are always happy to allow returns or exchanges of any installed flooring

This floor has not been rebranded. We updated the carton when this floor was added as a stocked product in some Home Depot Stores. As with all types of flooring, it is recommended to mix and install planks from several cartons to achieve a desirable color mix and appearance. This step is especially important with real wood flooring since each board is unique and will vary based upon how Mother Nature grew the particular tree. The variation is what makes a wood floor unique and highly prized. . HDOnlineSupport

Thank you for your posting and we are sorry you had difficulty installing the floor. There are three possible causes that could create the situation you are describing: 1) The flooring planks are not locked together correctly. The locking profiles are intentionally designed to fit together very tightly in order to prevent any movement after installation. When the sides are engaged completely, the planks will lay down completely flat and there is no space between the planks. Some people find the use of a tapping block is helpful when engaging the planks. 2) Insure the sub-floor is level to within the tolerances specified in the instructions. Otherwise, the planks could flex and loosen. 3) An underlayment approved for floating floors is required. Please feel free to reach out to our Customer Service Dept. at Customerservice@blueridgehardwood.com with any further questions. HDOnlineSupport

Floor is beautiful. Finish is matte. Coloration varies some, but overall looks fantastic in our house! Love that it’s made in the USA. I would give it 5 stars but some of the flooring was damaged during shipping. Hope it wears well.
