A:  The current unprecedented nationwide wood shortage is causing the lead-time for our flooring to be much longer than normal. This product is on backorder and our current lead-times are approximately 10-12 weeks. When the floor is produced, we will ship all in-house customer special orders first in the sequence that we received them. Your local Home Depot store can place a special order for you to ensure you are in line to receive the flooring as soon as it is available. If we receive a large number of orders, the lead-time could be extended further. Please be assured we are doing everything possible to expedite customer orders during these trying times.

              High quality pieces
We read many reviews for Bruce that said almost half the pieces were unusable. This steered us away from them and we ultimately selected this Blue Ridge hickory. The quality was fantastic. Just a few bowed pieces that didn’t make the cut. It was easy to install - no surprises. I would definitely recommend.

                Beautiful Floor and Easy Installation
We installed this flooring in our kitchen, living room, dining room, and main hall! Absolutely beautiful! The variation in color is breathtaking! Easy installation for a moderately experienced DIYer! I’d say, not for the beginner if you have no experience with flooring, pneumatic tools, or large projects.

                  Beautiful Hardwood
I searched all of the hardwood flooring stores in my neighborhood and all recommended Mullican flooring which was above my price point. When I found this sample at Home Depot I was not familiar with the brand although the sample was so similiar to the one from the other stores. I contacted the manufacturer and found they were one in the same although branded differently for the Home Depot. The floor was installed by my contractors hardwood team and the result is just what i was looking for. The small pieces from each box were disgarded but there was little waste. Each board is different which gives the floor a distant solid hardwood feel. Love my new floor!

This floor is absolutely stunning but it chips! I have chipping pieces in very room. They were installed in NOV 2019 and we do not wear shoes inside the house. I also use very mild soap to clean. I'm so frustrated so see ships in every room. Just horrible!

Response from Flooring ManufacturerApr 13, 2020
We are sorry to hear you are seeing chips in your floor. If the chipping is occurring along the edges of the planks, this is typically due to installation. If the nail or staple gun has too much pressure at the time of installation, it will cause hair-line fractures along the edges. These hair-line fractures will begin to chip overtime when you begin to clean the floor and this is due to the micro-fiber pad snagging the areas that are damaged. The areas that have chipped can be touched up with a Minwax stain pen. For cleaning and maintenance, we only suggest Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner or a comparable product. We hope this helps and should you have any other questions please reach out to us at Customerservice@blueridgehardwood.com. HDOnlineSupport

The quality on the wood is horrible. Boards are very warped and not true to width which makes for a difficult time when installing. The finish on the boards are fantastic in color and uniformity. I would only recommend purchasing this at the low price point

Hardly any unusable pieces, floor looks great. Hickory is a very hard wood so be careful when cutting and nailing, it splits easily. Only been installed for two weeks but is holding up well, easy to clean.

We've only opened and installed about half of the 28 boxes so far. 1) So far there have been only a few (4?) Pieces of wood that are discolored, appearing as though they may have water stains or some processing flaw that is under the polyurethane finish. Although, compared to the Br*c* brand hickory solid wood unstained prefinished flooring we bought in the past from Home Depot, this number is very minimal. Br*c* brand had exponentially more pieces of water stain type discoloration and thus a couple boxes of unusable, ugly wood. That's expensive for buyers. Yes, they were delivered that way. 2) Of the Blue Ridge boxes opened so far, 2 pieces were (lengthwise cut) 1/8" off from the rest of the boards. One was narrow, one was wide. They might be usable for edges. 3) Overall the flooring is beautiful and we would buy this brand again.

The issues listed with this review are actually common occurrences to be expected with any real solid wood floor. Since this is a totally natural product, every flooring plank is unique. Per the installation guide: Boards that are slightly bowed (curved) or crooked are normal in solid flooring. They are not defective and can be installed. They will be held in place by the fasteners. A pull bar may be needed to hold the planks into place while nailing. Planks with partial tongues may be utilized as long as there is enough tongue to use the correct number of required fasteners/nails. These planks may also be cut and used at the ends of rows. It is always recommended to purchase extra material to cover cuts, boards with unwanted features, etc. HDOnlineSupport
