Cracked and split
I ordered this hardwood for my entire first floor. The product was professionally installed. The hardwood set for approx. 2 weeks before install on a flat surface. Humidity of the house and wood along with the temperature of the house were controlled and met guidelines for install. Within days the floor cracked and split in numerous areas. Totaling approx 40 boards. The company sent a man out to inspect. He ran several tests and took several pictures. But he only did this for a few boards. He did not count or inspect the entire floor. They came back with they wanted me to get a reasonable estimate to replace 8 boards. There are over 40 that are damaged. If the inspector would have done a more thorough job- he would have realized there are well over 8! I had a contractor come to look at damaged floor and he gave me an estimate to tear out and replace entire floor. He said there are too many boards to replace them piece by piece and because they would have to be face nailed they would creak and lead to more problems in the future. The representative from Home Depot that I have been dealing with is telling me that the vendor will not accept this and I need to get a bid for just the 8, BUT there are way more than 8!! They Obviously know this was not an install issue and is an issue with the hardwood itself or they would have never made the offer to repair 8! I do not recommend buying this flooring! The company is not willing to back up/ warranty their product when it is clearly a product issue!

This floor is poor quality. I purchased 700 ft, hired a reputable experience contractor to install it. Installed 3/17 and the floor has numerous scratches, chips and difficult to remove scuff marks, with new chips happening every day. I live with all adults and we don't even wear shoes in the house! I contacted the manufacturer who blamed it on the contractor and told me to buy a "touch up marker' to cover exposed raw wood. Do not buy this product. You will be sorry. As another reviewer stated "don't be fooled". I wish I would have seen his review before purchasing. If there was a rating of "0" stars, that's what I would have chosen instead of one.

Response from Flooring ManufacturerApril 27, 2020
We are sorry to hear you had issues installing this floor. The excessive amount of crooked and twisted planks is not something we have experienced and is not typical for our flooring. All real wood products do react to the environment they are stored in and a few boards will typically bow, etc. Mechanical and pneumatic guns are normally powerful enough to pull these boards into place while they are being nailed down. They look great. Had proffesionally installed so I don't know how hard they were but the guys said it was typical. Only complaints? Too many short lengths and you can see the unfinished seems at certain angles.
