Yes, it does suck up dirt. It gets cloudy at first but it will be removed with this product. The cloudiness is due to the jets being high powered. The leaves do get sucked up easier!

There is not any device designed to retreve walnuts from a pool How did they get there to start with?. Mike

pole doesn't come with it. To be used with the pole you already have for vacuuming the pool.

Works good in in ground pools. However be carefull rolling over the the drains in the bottom of the pool as it may put too much stress on the wheel retainers and may cause them to snap off prematurely. I try to lift the cleaner over the top of the drains and let it ease down on top to vacuum leaves and debris around the edge of the drains.

Check with pool supply stores locally or on line. My bag is 2 years old and still in good shape.

I have an in ground pool but I would think it would work with an above ground pool as well. Un snap the hose connector from the cleaner by pulling back on the collar and then screw onto the hose end. Next pull the collar back on the connector and slide back onto the cleaner. Take the pole and snap onto the retainer pins on the cleaner. Pull the locking clip on the bag back and open the bag and slip over the top ring of the leaf vacuum. Locate the bag at one of the two curved recesses on the top and pull the 2 strings tight and push the locking pin forward to hold the bag in place. Put the cleaner in the pool and turn on the water. The water pressure coming out the jets in the bottom of the cleaner creates the vacuum effect to pull debris from the pool bottom and into the bag which floats on top.
