I bought this to replace one of the same that I thought had failed. My previous unit was out of warranty, sent to the factory for repair at their request, and returned to me (six days total round trip) before I even received the new one I had ordered to replace it. I got the old one back, repaired, only the fuse which I somehow overlooked was blown, and absolutely no charge for their service or handling. We had recently had a power outage which when restored must have blown the fuse as intended to protect the unit. I'm so pleased with it, with their service, and the way it operates that I'm going to just give the new one to my son to control some water functions at his distillery.

This is one of the best value controllers I have seen on the market. Its capabilities are second to none and it is very intuitive and straight-forward to set up. I finally got mine installed and set up properly and it works well using my LAN connection as well as the internet based control. There are a couple of issues as with all products that I think need to be addressed. The first unit was WiFi only and I was unsuccessful in connecting to my WiFi router (Google Fiber). So the mfr. exchanged it very quickly for one with an Ethernet port as well. I used the laptop on WiFi to set up the device and ran a wired LAN connection to my router. Everything works great now. The other issue is mechanical ruggedness. The unit is a bit delicate in a few spots so you have to be deliberate about your installation. My system had a commercial Hunter control that failed so I stripped the PVC cabinet bare and installed my BlueSpray inside the old Hunter wall mounted cabinet.

Very flexible programming options and I like the fact that it is a standalone web controller and does not require a cloud service to program and operate.

          Failed after 4 years
Two zones failed and of course warranty expired. I contacted support and after some testing they admitted it was the terminals failing. Unfortunately I am using all 16 zones so I have no spares so my option is to buy an extension module but I am really concerned that it will start failing other terminals. I dont see how the controller is failing before any of my other components (valves, sensors , etc) that were installed at the same time. The controller should be the last thing to fail

            Feature rich sprinkler controller
Ive used this controller for 4 years now and have grown to love all the functionality is is capable of. It may also be the only smart controller capable of more than 16 zones. While it can be complicated to get set up initially, the possibilities are endless with regard to watering schedules, seasonal customization, and notifications when flow rates change unexpectedly. Id recommend it to anyone looking for a full featured controller.

Purchase was easy. Product is great. It is simply the most flexible controller on the market. But this product requires a *brain* to set up, so it's clearly not for everyone. I would exclusively use a laptop to make changes, since the current phone app is not as complete. And I'd download and read the manual multiple times - since the setup does not have default values that would make the controller functional out of the box.

              Terrible waste of time
Don't waste your time with any Bluespray products, seriously. As others mentioned, support is useless and it's never a malfunction of unit and always your or your networks fault. UI is laggy, looks like it was designed by a 5yr old and quite honestly useless. Look at the Android app in the app store, a whopping 100+ downloads. That should tell you something. If these things are so great why isn't everyone using their app... it's because it's impossible to configure!

Extremely versatile controller that has a ton of power for its pricepoint
I have been using this controller for 4 years and it has worked well for me. It has so many features and capabilities that cant be matched by anything else on the market. I have a flow sensor that it watches and alerts me for low flow and leaks. I currently have 14 programs set up to irrigate my property. It can be a bit overwhelming to set up once you get that many programs and schedules involved, but it is worth it for the capability that it offers. Their support has been good to me when i have reached out needing help making things work. They have always had a solution, even if it isn't how i wanted to address it.

Over Time BlueSpray Loses Connection to Home Wi-Fi
I bought and installed a 16 station BlueSpray Indoor Sprinkler Timer in March 2017 at my home. This system is a web server connected to your home network and does not require an account or service from the manufacturer to operate. It uses a web browser to connect the BlueSpray to your home WI-FI. The web interface is not user friendly and can take some time to configure your zones and watering schedule. It uses a generic image of a home lot where you can use sprinkler icons to show the general locations of sprinklers on your lot. It you want to control the BlueSpray Timer from outside your home network, you will need knowledge of configuring your home network router to use port forwarding of the BlueSpray’s http and/or https ports to the external web. I set up port forwarding but found a security risk. I didn’t have a strong password to connect to the BlueSpray Timer. Some hacker broke into the Timer and flooded my backyard. After the attack, I isolated the BlueSpray Timer on my home network to stop future attacks. The biggest problem is with age the BlueSpray Timer has become unreliable. Starting around January 2020, the Timer keeps loosing connection to my home network and at times it has stopped turning on the sprinklers. The BlueSpray technical support was less than helpful. The response to my first email message was “reboot the BlueSpray Timer” which solved nothing. In my second message they told me I had a weak WI-FI signal. That is unlikely since my home W-IFI has been stable for serval years and I have WI-FI boosters in my home. I gave up. I replaced the BlueSpray Timer with a 16 zone Rachio 3 Sprinkler Control. It requires a smartphone or iPad connected to your home WI-FI to configure the Rachio 3. It uses an app installed on your device and an account on the manufacture’s server to configure the Rachio 3. It was easy to setup and can be controlled from inside or outside your home on the smart device. You can add images of your home zones to your account. I don't recommend the BlueSray Timer, save yourself the headache and try a different controller.
