A:  Yes, Bona High Gloss Hardwood Floor Polish is safe to be used on Laminate floors. Here is some more information on our polishes. Bona® Floor Polish is NOT a Floor Cleaner. Bona Hardwood Floor Polish and Bona Hard-Surface Floor Polish are designed to renew your hardwood or hard-surface floors by filling in micro-scratches and scuffs, shielding against future wear and traffic, and adding a durable shine for beautiful, transformed floors, every time. For extra protection, Bona Floor Polish now features an antimicrobial additive which inhibits the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew while the coating is on the floor. These protective formulas are safe for use on your sealed or finished, and unwaxed or unoiled floors. Surfaces should be sealed including the grout lines, unsealed stone or grout lines may cause staining. Polish is not recoatable with polyurethane finishes or Bona Refresher. We offer two types of Polishes for hardwood floors and one for hard-surface floors. The Bona Hardwood Floor Polish comes in a High Gloss and Low Gloss and the Hard-Surface Floor Polish comes in a High Gloss. The High Gloss Hardwood Floor Polish has a slightly lower sheen than the Hard-Surface Floor Polish and the Low Gloss Hardwood Floor Polish will put a matte or satin sheen on your floor. Always refer to the instructions before using the Polish and be sure to do a TEST AREA before coating the entire floor. Use no more than every 2-4 months for high traffic homes or 6-12 months for low traffic homes to keep floors looking their best. Measure floor to get precise square footage for accurate application coverage rate. One bottle of the 32oz. Polish ONLY covers 500 sq. ft, 24oz Polish ONLY covers 350 sq ft. and 36oz Polish ONLY covers 550 sq. ft. Below please find our recommendations on how to polish your floors: • Start with a clean floor using Bona Cleaners. If unfamiliar with cleaning products previously used on the floor, Bona recommends using Bona PowerPlus Hardwood Floor Deep Cleaner and Bona PowerPlus Microfiber Deep Clean Pad to remove any cleaner residue. • Remove furniture, rugs, etc. and vacuum, sweep or dust mop, and clean the floor. • Attach a dedicated blue Bona Microfiber Cleaning Pad to the bottom of your Bona Mop. • Gently rock the Polish bottle back and forth for 30 seconds. DO NOT SHAKE THE BOTTLE • It is very important to measure your floor before applying the Polish. Length x width to get the square footage. • Do a small TEST AREA with a LIBERAL/HEAVY POUR first - wait 24 hours for final results in the test area to ensure you are happy and get the desired results before applying to entire floor. o One bottle of the 32oz. Polish only covers 500 sq. ft., the 24oz. Polish only covers 350 sq. ft. and 36oz Polish only covers 550 sq. ft. • Dampen the microfiber cleaning pad with polish prior to first spread to help give it an initial glide on the floor. Start in a small manageable area and liberally/heavy pour of the polish from the bottle directly onto the floor in an “S” or “W” shaped pattern onto the floor. • Lightly spread the polish going with the grain using a dedicated blue Bona Microfiber Cleaning Pad on the bottom of your Bona Mop… only fingertip pressure on the mop is needed. You will want to keep the pad damp with Polish to help reduce streaking. • After applying the polish wash out your Microfiber Pad immediately to remove polish residue. • After 1 to 2 hours, depending on humidity, you may walk on the floor in your stocking feet. • Cure time is 24 hours. After this time, replace furniture, allow heavy traffic and pets. PETS MUST STAY OFF THE FLOOR FOR THE FULL 24 HOUR CURE TIME. Use no more than every 2-4 months for high traffic homes or 6-12 months for low traffic homes to keep floors looking their best. You can clean yours floors as often as you feel is necessary for your home and floor traffic. · Vacuum, sweep or dust mop the floor to remove loose dirt and debris. · Grab your Bona Cleaner, mop and blue microfiber cleaning pad. · Start with the Microfiber Cleaning Pad slightly damp. · Turn the spray nozzle to mist or stream setting and spray cleaner directly on floor if using a spray bottle. Push trigger on mop if using spray mop to spray directly on floor. · Wipe up the cleaner with mop and Microfiber Cleaning Pad. · If you are cleaning a larger area or several small rooms, you will want to take the cleaning pad off of the mop and rinse it out in your sink with warm water to release the captured dirt.
