Bona Hardwood Floor Polish is safe for use on your sealed or finished, and unwaxed or unoiled floor. Surfaces should be sealed including the grout lines, unsealed stone or grout lines may cause staining. Bona Floor Polishes' urethane-acrylic blend evens out the floor's appearance, restores the shine and provides a durable wear layer for protection. Bona Polishes may also be used to fill in minor scratches and to even out the sheen of a floor. Polish is not recoatable with polyurethane finishes or Bona Refresher. We offer two types of Polishes for hardwood floors and one for hard-surface floors. The Bona Hardwood Floor Polish comes in a High Gloss and Low Gloss and the Hard-Surface Floor Polish comes in a High Gloss. The High Gloss Hardwood Floor Polish has a slightly lower sheen than the Hard-Surface Floor Polish and the Low Gloss Hardwood Floor Polish will put a matte or satin sheen on your floor. Always refer to the instructions before using the Polish and be sure to do a TEST AREA before coating the entire floor. Use no more than every 2-4 months OR LONGER to keep floors looking their best. One bottle of the 32oz. Polish ONLY covers 500 sq. ft. Below please find our recommendations on how to polish your floors: · Start with a clean floor using Bona Cleaners. If unfamiliar with cleaning products previously used on the floor, Bona recommends using Bona PowerPlus Hardwood Floor Deep Cleaner and Bona PowerPlus Microfiber Deep Clean Pad to remove any cleaner residue. · Remove furniture, rugs, etc. and vacuum, sweep or dust mop, and clean the floor. · Attach a dedicated blue Bona Microfiber Cleaning Pad to the bottom of your Bona Mop. · Gently rock the Polish bottle back and forth for 30 seconds. · It is very important to measure your floor before applying the Polish. · Do a small TEST AREA first before applying the Polish to your entire floor - wait 24 hours for final results in test area. o One bottle of the 32oz. Polish only covers 500 sq. ft., the 24oz. Polish only covers 350 sq. ft. · Start in a small manageable area and pour the polish from the bottle directly onto the floor in an "S" shaped pattern onto the floor. · Lightly spread the polish going with the grain using a dedicated blue Bona Microfiber Cleaning Pad on the bottom of your Bona Mop… fingertip pressure on the mop. You will want to keep the pad damp with Polish to help reduce streaking. · After applying the polish wash out your Microfiber Pad immediately to remove polish residue. · After 1 to 2 hours, depending on humidity, you may walk on the floor in your stocking feet. · Cure time is 24 hours. After this time, replace furniture, allow heavy traffic and pets. · Use no more than every 2-4 months or longer to keep floors looking their best. Dont<T really understand your question. Did you wash your floors with wood floor cleaner before you polished them, otherwise your just polishing the dirt into the polish

What do you recommend I do to get heavy traffic gouges out of the previous bona finish high gloss finish.

no. it's for hardwood floors. Linoleum won't absorb like wood will. Find something that says "for linoleum floors" on the label.

Superb!
My floors are old and had been sanded as much as tolerable. I was extremely unhappy with them and didn't know what to do. I first was using Bona Floor Cleaner and really liked it. Then I saw the Bona Floor Polish and decided to try it. I think the trick is to first get the floors really really clean. Cleaned them with a good cleaner first then the Bona cleaner. Let dry thoroughly. Then apply the Bona Floor Polish. As you can see from pictures a total transformation!! I'm happy now!

Lasting shine
Purchased house and unsure of what previous owners used. Decided on a thorough cleaning using Bona Cleaner, which removed all gunk and layered products. Left floors smooth clean and foggy as expected. Preceded with the Bona Polish to bring out the shine and layer of protection. Nearly four months later, shine is still there. I feel some people use a cleaner and expect a polish shine. A misunderstanding on use and expectations.

Big mistake!
I did everything as directed and ruined my floors. It left a milky while residue that I had to hire a professional service to remove and get back to they way it was before. It’s as if I stepped in while powder than ran all over my house. It’s horrible! The best part, whatever residue was on the floor would track from your socks or feet to the tile floors and those had to be professionally cleaned to get that off also.

Super happy with results.
Lots of sheet rock dust because of renovations. I used Bona cleaner (what our contractor recommended) and it has always cleaned, but today my shine was gone just had a haze. I looked up Bona high gloss polish and read the reviews. I saw about half good and half really bad. With my new floors I was nervous about using the polish so we called our contractor who said "Yes". So glad we called him. The floors look amazing. We followed the instructions on the bottle, took about 1/3 of the bottle, and used a Bona micro pad. So happy!

The Only Brand that Works for My floors
This polisher has been a life-saver, I have tried endless products to get my floors to shine without high dry times and lasts for 5 days or more...THIS IS IT. I will never go back, trust me if you purchase you will not be disappointed It also doesn’t make the floors slippery ( we have a pooch) which I love.

Great results so far
It's only been 12 hours since I applied it and I think it looks really good so far. Can't comment on durability as it's not even fully cured yet. I discovered this hardwood under old carpet when I purchased this 60 something year old house and had it sanded down and refinished more than 10 years ago. It was beginning to show its age so I decided to give this product a try. It's all about making sure that your floor is well prepped before applying this stuff. I used Bona hardwood deep clean first before applying the polish.I just love the rich colour and clarity in my floor. Will update should anything strange happen after curing. Just to be clear, I don't think this product hides any deep scratches or dents or abuse. I just take very good care of my floors so that also helps. If you destroy your floors, there won't any liquid miracles to help you with that. haha

Restored my hardwood engineered flooring back to the original shine it once had. We had 2 areas of heavy wear which our rolling chairs had worn the finish away from, but this seems to have brought new life back to the floor again. What's great is that it doesn't smell bad and take long to dry either. Just take the time to make sure the floor is very clean before applying it, go with the grain of the wood, and let it dry thoroughly for a nice finish.
