We've made a few design enhancements to our original BV1900TS brewer to improve its performance for an even better cup of coffee with every brew. Updates include changes to the stainless steel-lined thermal carafe to keep coffee warmer and improve pourability. We've also added a rail system attached to the underside of the brewer lid that holds the filter basket in place just below the showerhead.

- Showerhead specifically designed to facilitate even saturation of coffee grounds
- Powerful 1500-Watt heater with advanced heating control quickly brings water to ideal brewing temperature of 198 to 205°F (92- 96°C)
- Removable flat bottom filter basket and larger showerhead provide better saturation and uniform flavor extraction
- Audible signal alerts user when the filter basket has finished draining and coffee is ready
- Carafe lid, filter basket, and showerhead are dishwasher safe and all plastic is BPA-free
- 1.3 L stainless steel-lined thermal carafe with refined easy-pour spout for improved pourability

After just two weeks of daily use we're very pleased with our new brewer. Understand two things: there is no heating surface under the carafe and the lid will not fit on the carafe with the filter basket in place. The brewing goes quickly so stay nearby until the brewer switches off automatically. Have a dish cloth handy. After the coffee stops flowing into the carafe, use the dish cloth to catch any hot drips and remove the filter basket (we then set it in the sink to drain). Then immediately screw the lid onto the carafe to retain the heat! The coffee is very hot when brewed; the high heat and "shower head" design provide the great flavor. The carafe is well insulated and keeps the coffee plenty warm with the lid installed.

This simple and fast coffee brewer makes a nice cup of coffee. I was specifically looking for one with a thermal pot and one that was on the smaller size (40 oz), and this one fit the bill. It takes up smaller counter space than most others and does keep the coffee hot for well over an hour. I previously was using a pour over to make my daily coffee for well over 2 years, but wanted a change to something that didn't require as much work and would keep my coffee hotter, which this does. There is nothing fancy with this coffeemaker, no presets, or the ability to make a single cup, so it may not be for everyone, but for me, it is exactly what I was looking for and I am very happy with it.

I have the original version of this product and it...
I have the original version of this product and it always made very good coffee and was brewed at the proper temperature. Also the thermo carafe was glass lined and kept coffee hot for many hours if you pre-heated it. I purchased the new Bonavita Connoisseur and it is a big disappointment. The product looks good but overall has a much cheaper fabrication, probably to reduce cost. The problem is it does not maintain the proper temperature when brewing and also the new thermo carafe is stainless steel inside and out. Even when pre-heated it does not keep the coffee hot for more than one hour. This is partially due to the fact the e new brew temp is not correct. I have been a big fan of Bonavita in the past and have recommended the product to many people; unfortunately I cannot recommend the new Connoisseur model. It is definitely not for the connoisseur. Moving on to Technivorm.

The coffee is not as hot as the 205 degrees...
The coffee is not as hot as the 205 degrees advertised. The carafe does not maintain heat longer than 20 minutes.
