Product Details

Bondo Fiberglass Resin is designed for repairing cars, boats, snowmobiles, jet skis, bathtubs and showers. This high-strength polyester resin creates waterproof repairs on metal, fiberglass and wood as well as seals concrete and rotted wood. Use it to join surfaces together while creating a strong, waterproof and long lasting bond. This product can be used with Bondo Fiberglass Cloth or Mat to create a stronger repair and is sandable in less than 2 hours. Bondo Fiberglass Resin is waterproof and is compatible with all paints, including gel coat and marine paints. Liquid hardener is included.

          I needed some fiberglass resin to pour a shower pan. The place I used to get the resin was 30% more expensive. I tried the Bondo brand and it worked great. It is actually easier to use and the fumes are no where near as bad. I will be using this resin from now on for shower pans.

          Typical Fiberglass. Nearly impossible to properly measure the correct amount of hardener to use. Thick and sets up fast. Wish HD would carry a good 2 part epoxy. I would recommend that. Also the fiberglass mat that is sold folded effectively ruins the material for practical use. Mat should be rolled.

          Easy and pretty forgiving
          I fixed some damaged items in my backyard. I followed the instructions pretty loosely, and the Bondo polyester resin hardened up perfectly and cured within 2 hours. My fiberglass repairs are super strong. Now I'll fair them out a bit with the Bondo putty after sanding, and then paint. Pretty easy. Normally I use epoxy to repair stuff, but I needed the strength and rigidity of fiberglass, so I went this route as an easy introduction to fiberglass. Pretty cool stuff.

            Pond waterfall
            I bought Bondo to make a 6 inch 10 inch catch basin for a diy pond waterfall. I used cardboard as the form and all went perfectly. Preparation is the key to get it done well and the product you use is paramount. This product worked perfectly. The waterfall runs 24/7 yet has no leaks. I have another waterfall project pending and will be using Bondo again.
