I had to wait until there were no showers in the area because that is what is recommended. However, this worked within an hour on killing the weed. I tried to get it to do more than a stream but I was unable to do that. The battery powered handle did fairly well. I did end up getting it blown into my face and it did not sting or turn red. I washed it off after I was done spraying the weed. It did get a kink in the hose which made it difficult to spray. That is why it is only a good. I would still recommend this.

I am not overly encouraged by the results of this product as compared to other brands that I have used in the past. The good thing about this product is the spraying part of this product is controlled by battery and not pumping by hand and it also has a handy little side storage holder for the sprayer. I know that the directions say that it may require an additional application and I have not done that but I feel that the weeds that I sprayed should have been killed with one application. I will use the remainder of product on my flower beds for spot treating weeds.

This is a great weed killer that really works quickly. I sprayed some weeds in the afternoon and the next morning they were dead or almost dead, as shown in the attached photos. I have used other popular weed killers and never had results this quick. The battery operated sprayer works well and produces a heavy output of weed killer. The product has a strong, but pleasant smell.

I’m really impressed with this product. It kills dandelions, other weeds and grass quickly and completely. It smells like cinnamon. I like that the chemical smell isn’t overpowering although the cinnamon smell is strong. Be sure to wear gloves and shoes with this. I got some on my bare hands and feet as I was wearing sandals and it burned a little, but I couldn’t get the smell off for a day. The dandelions and grass show distress within hours and die completely within a couple of days. The battery powered sprayer is handy and easy to use. The batteries are included. The only weed I wanted gone that this wouldn’t kill is wild onion. This is probably due to the wax they have on the leaves. Other than that, this worked great.

The Deadweed Brew RTU herbicide is a fast-acting control of weeds, grass, mosses, and algae within a few hours. This product is great to use around vegetables, flower gardens, walkways and driveways. It kills weeds and grasses. I put on some weeds and grass and the next day they were dead. This product can be used in organic gardens. When applying make sure you spray to the point of run off of the area you want to kill. I had to applied a second time for the larger weeds. Make sure it doesn’t get wet with water or it will reduce the effectiveness of the product. It is safe from children and pets. Just make sure it is dry before you let them out to play. The unit has a battery power sprayer to help you easily spray those pasty weeds. Batteries included. Great and safe product.

Got this Captain Jack's Deadweed Brew Kills Weeds and Grasses Battery Powered Sprayer because it is organic, kills broadleaf weeds, disease, moss and algae in lawns, derived from iron, which occurs in nature. Sprayed this around the front porch.I sprayed quite a bit on everything. Slowly of kill the grass and a few weeds but not all of them, some are more wilted than dead..I think this worked from the roots up is why it takes a little longer to notice it is working. I'll give it a few more days and then spary again and other areas I didn't get to. Say's to shake it up before each use, not so good idea with the sparyer iattached spilled out of the top, Pic's 4-22 tand 4-26 before and after.

Captain Jack Dead Weed Brew works, I tried it on grass weeds that found their way through the weed barrier and just some wild weeds that grew out in an open area. Within hours, they were wilted and when in a few days they were completely brown and dead. The spray bottle was really easy to put together and well made. I have some arthritis in my hands so having the battery power sprayer helps a lot you just squeeze the trigger once, and the weed killer sprays out. Once you release trigger it stops. No more pumping trigger. I've got a few tips to share with you. There is a red tab by battery pack that needs to be removed before starting to use. You can control spray stream by twisting nozzle. If the spray isn't coming out the hose needs to be pull tight. The only con I'd say is that you need to use quite a bit to cover weeds and it didn't kill but the horehound weeds in my yard, but they do appear to be wounded.

This is an amazing spray. I’m so happy to find something that works around my organic vegetable garden and in my yard. What a nice surprise to see something that work for organic gardening. This product is fast-acting and as the photos show, kills a variety of grass and weeds. It’s a bit thick coming out of the sprayer at times and takes a bit of pressure on the sprayer and a good shake of the container, but it quickly evens out. That’s not a complaint though, because this stuff is worth a little extra muscle. I’m extremely pleased with this product and will continue to use it.

The Bonide ( Captain Jack's ) Dead Weed Brew works well and works quickly. I sprayed the weeds growing in the seam between the side walk and step with the Dead Weed Brew and it killed the weeds in a few days that a name brand weed killer failed to do. A nice added feature to this product is the battery powered sprayer provided with it. Although the sprayer may be mediocre at best the effectiveness of the weed killer more than makes up for it.
