I picked up this herbaceous perennial plant to attract bee pollinators for the rest of my garden, and just recently learned it's a hummingbird attractor (this year’s theme). Planting this in the correct location allowed the plant (which can grow up to 4 ft.) to flourish year after year. I harvest the leaves and flowers to use as a bergamot tea (similar to earl gray), salads and garnishing. The flowers are a beautiful decoration.
