With its distinctive flavor and fragrance, cilantro is an essential ingredient in Mexican, Caribbean, and Asian cuisines. Looks like flat leaf parsley, but with thinner leaves. Young leaves have best flavor, so harvest often. Plants grow quickly. Annual in most zones, though may overwinter in milder climates. After it bloom, harvest seeds for use as the spice coriander.

Can cilantro be grown in northern Florida in the summer heat?

Answer

Sorry, can't help you since I live in Sedona, AZ. I believe you can grow it in the shade or indoors.. The plant is cheap enough to try, and Home Depot will accept returns and refund if it dies.

not happy
My cilantro was very dry when i recieved it and also a little yellow. After i watered it it died completly.

bought 2 plants, and put them in large pot together. Watered them and added the Miracle Grow, die...
