Product Details

Lots of tasty, versatile cherry tomatoes grow on an attractive deep green, husky plant. Unlike most cherry tomato varieties, this plant only grows 3 to 4 feet tall, making it ideal for containers, but produces loads of fruit through until fall. Use tomatoes in salads, stir-fries, shish-kebabs, or for fresh eating. Plant is disease-resistant and will need a cage or stake for support.
  • Flavorful cherry tomato -- perfect for snacking
  • Pretty, stout, dark green plant
  • Great for containers, but needs to be staked due to heavy fruit loads
  • Dwarf indeterminate, yielding clusters of cherry tomatoes on relatively short vines over a long period of time
  • Disease-resistant tomato variety
  • Light Requirements: Full sun
  • Space 36" apart
  • Nightshade Family
  • 56 - 74 Days to Harvest
  • Good for containers

A:  i always use a cage with all my tomatoes

      by|May 14, 2022

A:  The vines are dwarf indeterminate, making them short and husky like a determinate type, usually between 3 and 4 feet. The dwarf vines stay neat and compact, but give the plant a little support on a stake or cage to keep it upright in rain and wind.

Husky Cheery Red: determined to be indeterminate!
This is a phenomenal plan! I do have to report, though it says it’s indeterminate with a determinant feel for compactness, and did not need to be transplanted. However, as you can see by my picture, this plant is taken on a life of its own! It’s in a planter that I had to move out all other plants just to keep giving it the love it keeps asking for!! Holy cow, delicious tomatoes and I have plenty to feed the neighbors, their kids and grandkids!!

              Why won't my tomaotes ripen?
I bought this a month ago. I grow it in the container. It had a cluster of 5 tomatoes already on the plant, full size. In spite of placing the plant in th sun, they will not ripen. Others are starting to grow, but they are not big enough to ripen yet. I don't know what to do. I even removed some leaes above the tomatoes and tilt the plant backwards so they get full sunlight. I move it around as the sun moves around my house. They are pest resistant and sturdy. What should I do?

                Generous yield
This is the first year we’ve grown cherry tomatoes and will never go back to a larger size. The flavor is on the sweeter side. Our family and friends love this gem. We have been activity harvesting on a daily basis for the last 5 weeks. Today our yield was 200+

                  A Winner
I have been growing the Husky Cherry tomatoes since 2009. The are the only tomato I've found that taste like a tomato should. They are also big enough to stuff which is a huge winner for us. As long as I can garden I'll have Husky Cherry in garden.

                    BEST THERE IS.
Have bought these for the past several years and have not been disappointed once. I have never seen such a hardy cherry tomato....anybody can grow these. Best planted in ground, but can be grown in a pot. Pots should be very large...would recommend over 20" at least, otherwise you will have to water constantly.

Received two healthy, substantial plants in clear plastic containers with soil still moist. Impressive packaging protected them well during transit. After 24 hours, however, the leaves began to curl (looked like spinach). Watered them and allowed a period of recovery, then planted them into a large 18 in container (which I also purchased from HD). They are doing well now after a few weeks and are beginning to take off. See photos. Did give them a sprinkle of Miracle Grow after about a month. Also purchased the Better Boy stock. One shriveled up and died within 24 hours of receipt. The other survived and is growing, but not as well as the Husky Cherry Tomato.
