Product Overview

Heirloom developed to fit in a refrigerator (a.k.a. icebox). The small, perfectly round, very sweet fruits have deep red flesh and a dark green rind. Due to the smaller size, Icebox watermelons mature a little earlier than larger varieties. Maturity: 78-days after planting.
  • Deep red, very sweet flesh is high in lycopene and vitamins A and C
  • Ideal for small servings
  • Plant where vines can sprawl in the garden
  • Mature earlier than other watermelon varieties
  • Some Bonnie Plants varieties may not be available at your local stores, as we select and sell varieties best suited to the growing conditions in each region, call to confirm availability

Answer

We do not suggest that you grow watermelons on a trellis. It can be done but very labor intensive. You will need a sturdy trellis as well as create a hammock for every fruit to be supported.
