Compared to standard metal cutting blade – well there is no comparison....... Using this carbide blade with the Bosch tool speed set at about half speed - First plunged under and cut off the heads from all the ring-nails in the 3/8” plywood under layment in a 6x6 bathroom floor. Did perform better – most def trashed the standard blade more when doing this same task in a previous 6x6 room in floor tile prep.
Then made cutouts in the new 1/4” thick concrete Hardi backer-board for the furnace register and toilet flange with the same worn blade – really shined here – sliced right thru it like butter. Standard blade did the same cutouts before, but more effort and literally melted the blade to a glowing red knife edge. See the after picture of the 2 worn blades side-by-side. Also carbide did a cleaner job – 8” dia hole for toilet flange was able to guide it around the circle easily. I the picture attached you can see how uniform I was able to make the 8” dia hole freehand. Standard blade had to plunge multiple times and ended up with multi-sided polygon shape rather than a circle – and a glowing hot blade.
The carbide teeth are actually welded to the blade.
Pros: Accurate, All In One, Durable, Easy to Use, Long-Lasting, Strong, Sturdy
