Q:I would like to purchase the SHEM3AY55N dishwasher. Does a Bosch dishwasher need a special connection for the U.S.? I read that this model is manufactured in North Carolina. I was told a connector would be about $240.

It is designed for a power supply of 120V, 60 Hz, AC, connected to a dishwasher-dedicated, properly grounded electrical circuit with a fuse or breaker rated for 15 or 20 amps. If no electrical outlet is available for use with the included 3-prong power cord, a permanent wire connection would be required. In this case, for a hardwired installation it would be necessary to purchase a power cord with junction box kit, accessory kit #SMZPCJB1UC. Extremely Quiet and Efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This BOSCH 100 Series Dishwasher is extremely quiet, stable and efficient. Installation was pretty easy and straightforward (even for a DIY). It is barely audible during the wash cycle. Dishes and utensils come out sparkling. The sanitize function is great. This model has three different cycles which is generally adequate for most items. The fingerprint resistant chrome finish works well and Looks good with almost any decor.

Recommended
