Questions & Answers

could this provide hot water for a small shower insert for an outdoor shower?

could this provide hot water for a small shower insert for an outdoor shower?
Asked by: swo
Honestly, you'd probably regret it after the first shower. I wouldn't use this (or even the 4 gal for that matter) for a shower. we use our 2.5 gal on a utility sink and it only produces a small functional amount hot water. you would be better served using a small point of use system where flow rate is ~1.1GPM at around 45C (113F).... that you can probably live with. also this system requires annual inspections and maintenance (replacing anode and descaling). a lot of work for a small return in my opinion.

something is wrong with your hot tub. It should heat 1 degree every 5 minutes or so. Check your heating element. It may me all calcified or something.

Should this be connected to the hot water line or cold, why?
Asked by: Pakman
Cold to inlet and hot to the outlet. This is not a instant heat just a small fast recovery water heater. If you already have hot water it could be hot to inlet and outlet.
