Hi there! Thanks for the review and we are sorry about the issue you had with the rebar cutter RC2124. Did you use this bit without using a rotary hammer bit first? To get the best result, you may need to use a regular concrete bit first and when there is a rebar, that's the time you should use the rebar cutter. Please contact us at 1-877-BOSCH99 (1-877-267-2499) from Mon-Fri 7A-7P CST for further assistance regarding this matter. You may also return the bit back to store within 30 days from the purchased date. Thank you for your time.

Thank you for the review. We apologize about the negative experience you had with it. When using a rebar cutter like RC2084, we always recommend to drill first your material with a concrete bit, then use the rebar cutter once you are near or almost hitting the rebar. With this process, it will make your bit last longer. If you just bought the bit within 30 days, you may return it to the store. Otherwise, please contact us at boschtools@custhelp.com or calling 1-877-BOSCH99 (1-877-267-2499) from Mon-Fri 7A-7P CST to discuss further options. Thank you for your time.

Not available at Sebring HD. Drove to Ft Myers to pick up one bit. Drilled thru 3, 60 yr old rebars. Toasted bit. Drove to Naples and picked up 3 bits they had in stock. Finished drilling thru 13 more rebars. Should stock at More Florida HD stores since concrete block and re inforced concrete is standard construction type.

Good day! Thank you for providing us your feedback. This RC2124 is a rebar cutter that you will only use after drilling into masonry or concrete and hit rebar. For brick, you need to use a masonry drill bit first. What application did you use it for? We may have a better bit for your application. Kindly write us back at boschtools@custhelp.com to further assist you regarding this matter or contact us at 1-877-BOSCH99 (1-877-267-2499) from Mon-Fri 7A-7P CST. Thank you for your time.

Each project we use it on consists of 9 - 5 inch holes in 4,000 psi concrete. We do encounter rebar but not in every hole. They seem to last an average of two projects before replacing. It should be at least twice that.

Does it work as fast as in the video? No. But it definitely does work. I hit some rebar mounting a base plate after 4 other holes were already drilled, in a situation where just moving the whole thing over a few inches probably would have meant another 1/2 hour of surface prep plus re drilling the holes. Popped this in, buzzed out the rebar in 2 holes in about 10 min. Worked for me.
