Hi, thanks for your question. The water inlet on model SPE53C55UC uses a 3/8‑inch compression connection (3/8" OD supply line / 3/8" compression nut). This is a compression fitting (not NPT). If your shutoff valve is 1/2" IPS you can use a short adapter or a braided stainless hose that has a 3/8" compression end for the dishwasher and a 1/2" female for the wall valve.
