Must the washer door remain open when not in use? We need a stackable unit which will be placed inside a laundry closet

AnswersIf there is any room between the washer and the closet door when the closet door is closed, leave the washer door open slightly. Any air flow will help to dry out the washer. It would also help to install a vent in the closet door. I agree with Chrissy, dry the rubber seal with a paper towel or rag.

This program is recommended for heavily to lightly soiled (white) cottons, household linens, work and play clothes. Additional Program Settings: Prewash, Extra Rinse +1, +2. Drum Clean: Run an empty washer, Temperature: Extra hot, Spin Speed: High. Special cycle for cleaning the washer drum.

AnswersThis happened to me. I finally turned the machine off completely and walked away from it. I came back five minutes later and was able to open the door, but since it did not go through the spin cycle there was water in the tub and everything was wet. Fortunately I have another washer and dryer in the garage so took the wet clothes out there and finished. But, I called the repair person as I love this machine and I have had it for 10 years and this is the first time I have had and issue so he came out and replaced some brushes and it is working fine again.

When I needed to replace my old Bosch washer, which which a workhorse, I did not hesitate to buy this updated version. It's remarkable. The features are so seemingly sophisticated but so easy to use! It's been a great hit around my house where there is always plenty of laundry. The different speeds and programs and levels all do exactly what they claim to do and it looks so nice in my laundry room. A very good unit at an exceptional price. Highly recommend!! I had a Bosch Axxis washer and dryer for 12 years. The washer started making horrible banging sounds (repairman thought it was bearings) so I replaced it with this new model. Works well so far and I like the newer features especially the speed perfect option. Minus side is their is not a soak cycle option although one can do it manually. Also, with a lighter load, the machine shakes hard during the initial rinse cycle but fairly smooth otherwise. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Please dont buy washer only. They wont tell you but the washer only plug is European and not usable in US. Even online power plug converters are not reliable 110 to 220. I am in the middle of returning this. Even Home Depot associates couldnt believe what i told them until they researched and they made some calls twice and even they got visibly upset. First at me then at the Manufacturer. That part was funny

Wow! I replaced a 13-year old vented laundry center with this Bosch 300 series washer and dryer stacked. I've never had a front-loader before and I'm in love with the ease of use I get with this washer.
I had done a lot of research and felt extremely nervous about moving to a ventless/condenser dryer, but this washing machine makes the whole thing work. The spin cycle on this thing is insane... we keep joking that she's "taking off," but seriously, the spin cycle really goes all out. The clothes end up super dry coming out of the washer, which in turns requires less work out of the condenser dryer.
I will say these cycle times are LONG. We've taken to basically running every load of every type using the Quick 30 cycle setting... ain't nobody got time for a 2 hour wash cycle. My favorite feature is the sud sensor. What year is this?! But seriously, I put way too much detergent into the load with my bed's comforter... the machine kept intelligently adding rinse cycles to rid the thick material of soap without me having to do it since it "detected" that there were too many suds left after the initial rinse.
The one con here, which is more my fault than the machine's for not really reading the capacity numbers and not actualizing the 2.2 cu feet, is that this thing is tiny. Compared to my previous washer I'm doing loads that are roughly half the size (if not a little less). The machine works fine, I'm just doing more small loads.
If you're aware of the pros/cons of compact machines and ventless dryers, this one isn't cheap but the build quality is quite good. Go for it.
