Easy to use controls and works well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So many appliances have complicated controls with unnecessary options. This oven has 2 knobs, one to set the temperature and the other to select the mode (bake, broil). Delightfully easy to use.

If I could give it zero stars I would.
Installed with new home purchase in 2018 as a "premium" appliance package. Over 4 years we have had at least 4 service calls, replaced 2 control boards and one door, and are now on our 3rd control board . I think I am into this for over $1K in repair bills. Absolutely ridiculous and I don't think we'll repair the control board this time and will move onto something else from a reliable brand. Bosch should be embarrassed.

Wouldn’t recommend
As stated below, the touch display is the most frustrating thing ever. You touch it sometimes and it goes, then doesn’t, then lags, skips, etc. It’s astonishing Bosch thought it was ok to sell something like this. It also takes 30+ minutes to heat up to 350. Absolutely terrible oven. Looks nice, that’s all.

The oven was easy to install and works great. The loss of 1 star is due to the knobs turn very easily and you can bump them and change the temperature setting without realizing it.

Takes long time for pre heat and doesn't have child lock.. dial buttons easily slide and need to turf off circuit breaker since there is no child lock

Can't wait to replace our Bosch oven
Our house came with a Bosch oven and it has been very problematic. We have had 3 service calls including replacing the front door. It never was a good oven. Very uneven heat. Removed door to do some work and now the hinges won't latch in. door hinge design is garbage. Two days of trying and it still won't latch in. So now we have no oven for Christmas diner. Not a happy wife. We will never purchase a bosch product again.

I have had my HBL54 for 7 years now and I really like it for the most part. My reasons for buying it were that it was wider than conventional ovens - letting me cook multiple dishes at a time rather than needing two ovens to accomplish the same tasks; and, because of all of its fabulous cooking options - pizza, pie, food dehydrator, warm, bread, conventional and convection baking, etc. (all of which I have tried). The one exception, which is why I gave this a 3 on quality and a 4 overall, is that the oven rack metal is way too weak for a 30" span. Coupled with the weld being in the center of each rack, the result is sagging racks in the center once you put in anything that weighs of any consequence (turkey, bread baker, full casserole dish, etc.). The sag is both downwards in the center and forwards from front to back in the center. For critical baked goods, this is not good and I manage this situation by propping up the front of the dish and baking it towards the back of the oven which puts it, unfortunately, right in front of the fan. The quality of the rest of the oven is really nice so you have to wonder why Bosch would supply skimpy oven racks for such a fine oven.

I bought a new construction home where I live part time. I am a single male with no kids so I tend to eat out a lot and order in food. I therefore have used my oven only a few times and it broke after the third use, which conveniently/ironically happened to be right after the warranty expired. I looked up online and called in for assistance and the troubleshooting did not work. The oven has some E305 error code which is a communication error.
