This multi-purpose Bosch sander offers a random orbit mode for normal stock removal and fine finishing, and a turbo-driven eccentric orbit mode for aggressive stock removal. The powerful 6.5 amp motor delivers 3100-6650 OPM and up to 600 RPM. You'll get fast, smooth results on a variety of surfaces with this sander.

Compatible 6 inch disc's are hard to find in stores, but the bosch has preformed excellent. The aggressive mode works wonders to really get thick sanding done quickly.

Vacuum attachment too low
I've been trying different things and different sandpaper grits to get a deck sanded as quickly as possible. What I've found so far is that I can get it to sand quicker without the vacuum hose attached, I think because I can get a better angle on the sander, and have a better grip on it. My hose needs both of the provided attachments to get hooked up and along with the hose stick straight out a few more inches. This restricts the angle, along with the fact that the attachments keep falling out unless you hold them with your hand while you sand. I'm going to set up a box fan to blow the wood dust away as I sand instead of using the vacuum, which would be more ideal. The newer model may have solved the hose problem.

Finally a real sanding beast!
I've burned through a million random orbit sanders. Burned them all out. This sander is heavy and a true work horse. Thank you Bosch.

powerful tool
I got this for an easier to control heavy duty sander compared to my belt sander, and it really does the job! Works well for polishing also.Connection to dust collection could be better but the dust collection is otherwise excellent. Becoming one of my favorite tools.

Great Piece of kit
I bought this unit after watching several U Tube videos of a guy in Denmark who posts under the name Sail Life using it to refit his 38 foot sail boat. He raves about it’s versatility so I figured I’d give it a try. I’ve found that it’s like owning two units since the duel action has allowed for either rapid cutting or fine work and the adjustable speed is another bonus. The only drawback is the units weight when working under the boat sanding paint but the performance out shown the extra weight.
