AnswersDifferent wash modes have different lengths. Not totally sure about place settings but minimum of 8 I think. Have only had this for a couple weeks and haven't been able to fill it to capacity yet. It has a half load setting so that really helps if you don't have a lot of dishes.

AnswersHi Arlee. Thank you for your question. The 18 inch 800 Series Front Control Dishwasher has a flow through water heater in our motor. This heats the water coming into your dishwasher and keeps it consistently hot throughout the washing and rinsing cycles.

Design flaw - button labels wear off quickly

Button labels are cheaply stamped onto surface. As buttons are on top edge, close to dishwasher, the steam wears off the button labels. Bosch's customer service was terrible, they do not support their customers. Many people on line have complained of similar issue. Not worth the high cost and then to have to replace the control panel and pay for a plumber to install it..only to have it happen again.
I would NOT recommend this product. Bosch needs to take responsibility and fix the design flaw.

Per the dishwashers Use & Care Guide: Never use a steam cleaner to clean your dishwasher. The manufacturer is not responsible for any consequential damage. Regularly wipe the front of the appliance with a damp cloth - water and a small amount of liquid soap is adequate. Do not use sponges with a rough surface or abrasive detergents, as these could scratch the surfaces. Stainless steel appliances: To prevent corrosion, avoid using sponge cloths or chlorine based cleaners. Use a stainless steel polish to seal and protect the surface.

Although our new dishwasher is an apartment-sized (we are empty-nesters still in our home), it handles a lot of dishes and cleans so well. We can't even hear it running! We have had this dishwasher for only a year now and the exterior face of the supposedly stainless steel door has developed small rust spots. We have only ever used stainless steel cleaner and a soft cloth to clean. The machine does a good job cleaning but for the price we paid for the unit it is unacceptable that the quality of the material used for the facade is so poor. One last note, we have several other stainless steel appliances that we have had for 3-5 years, none of them Bosch, and not one of them has a spot of rust.

Useful little dishwasher with lots of run-time options for small/heavy loads. What is most frustrating is the angling of the prongs that guide dish loading. They always seem to be angled opposite of how I would want them for whatever plates/bowls/service ware/baking ware I am wanting to wash. It may be made with the idea of a glassware/plates only or a "bar" dishwasher with prongs close together on the bottom tray, but I sure wish it just had straight up/down prongs instead or at least moveable/spaced a little wider to make it easier to load a cookie sheet, cake pans, or 13x9 inch baking dish. We did a lot of research before choosing an 18" dishwasher for our small house. It looks great, it is very quiet, and it washes dishes well. The dishes come out spotless if you follow the directions. an 18" dishwasher is probably only big enough for 3-4 people max at one load per day.

The dishwasher is a very modern style and operaion is quiet. Happy with the look and operation, however, there is no base cover plate. As a result, the white plastic adjustable legs are clearly visible. This is not a good look.

Purchased this as an open box at Lowes saving over 1/2 price. Glad we finally got one as it's our favorite part of our complete kitchen remodel (that didnt have a dishwasher).
Close to silent operation - able to have a normal conversation without raising voices even standing right by it.
Dishes come out sparkling clean.
3rd rack for flatware is a godsend. allows you to really pack in the dishes in this 18" model.
Looks amazing - matches our stainless Kenmore Gallery kitchen suite perfectly as well as our Stainless farm sink. Perfect addition for our now amazing kitchen!
