800 Series 24 in. ADA Compliant Top Control Tall Tub Custom Panel Ready Dishwasher with Crystal Dry and 3rd Rack, 42dBA

It connects to the phone if you're interested in knowing when it's running and complete. Because it's so quiet I at times don't know if it's running so I'm thankful for the red light that shines on the ground. Solid red when running. Flashing when paused. So neat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used and/or owned quite a number of dishwashers over my 65 years and this one is the best one by far. It was installed as part of a kitchen remodel I did myself. This dishwasher is super quiet (even before the countertops were installed) and, so far, cleans all the dishes very well with only one detergent tablet. All the dishes and silverware consistently come out spotless. I love the third top rack for sliverware. Everything is held in place without touching each other and very easy to unload. I thought our water was pretty soft as we haven't needed a water softener but the test strip that came with the installation instructions said we had 1.9-2.1 mmol/l of hardness. Setting the dishwasher to H:03 was very easy with the phone app. I'm really glad we went for the model with the integrated water softener. I'm an engineer and long time home improvement DIY'er that gets great gratification from things built or installed plumb, level with precision. While I've installed a number of dishwashers in the past, I've never installed a Bosch dishwasher let alone one with an appliance panel. Here are two areas that I could see where the installation instructions could use improvement: 1.The instructions to install the appliance panel to the door of the dishwasher are clear on how to fasten it to the dishwaser door but they're not clear on the limits of the maximum height of the panel or how to align the panel so the bottom edge will be level with the doors on the rest of the cabinets. There are diagrams that look like they're trying to show the dimensions and limits but a little text to go along with the diagrams would help clarify what the diagrams are trying to say. I had to resort to downloading the 3D CAD model from Bosch to get dimensions for how the top of the appliance panel aligns with the top of the door. 2. The dishwasher is made to fit under a wide range of counter heights. Our base cabinets were 34.5 inches tall leaving quite a bit of room above the dishwasher. We could have adjusted the feet to close that gap but the bottom edge of the appliance panel wouldn't align properly. The photo of an installed SGV78B53UC on the Bosch website showed a filler strip above the appliance panel which would work great but the installation instructions don't adress this in words. Once I found a small add-in sheet with the instructions it made things a bit clearer as to how to install blocking to prevent the diswasher from tipping forward when installed under tall countertops. It again, only had diagrams and no text to clarify. I would certainly recommend this dishwasher to anyone but if you're having installed, make sure the installer has experience installing Bosch diswashers. Especially so for dishwashers with the appliance panel option.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the difficult task of repairing my Miele dishwasher or replacing it. The codt of repair was one half the cost of a new Miele dishwasher but the same cost as a new Bosch dishwasher. I purchased the Bosch abz am so pleased with the dish washing performance and quietness! Highly recommend and the custom panel was easy to install.

Manafacturer defect had this dead on arrival. As soon as the door was closed the power went away. Bosch customer service is non existant. After researching the problem I found it was very common with Bosch dishwashers. Having it picked up. Will not purchase Bosch again.

It's super quiet and in our open concept kitchen/living space this was important. We love the third tier for flatware and it gets everything spotless. It's just what we were hoping for in a dishwasher.

It has very easy loading and lots of room for all my dishes (including serving dishes) and 3 sets of glassware after a dinner party for 10. I love it and will never try a different brand other than a Bosch. Deirdre Tessman

Purchased Bosch panel ready machine to replace one which broke after 9 years. The installation team put the new machine in place and discovered the custom panel would not allow the dishwasher door to fully open. This is perplexing as I bought the updated model of what I had been using for years. Installers were in a rush and offered no solutions and spent no time trying to determine if any modifications would fix the issue. They departed quickly and wished me luck. $189 for this level of service is not very satisfactory. I am left with a machine which is not fully useable. Home Depot should offer a bit more help than what I received.

Owned 5 years and already needs a major repair ($410) no help from customer service after they indicated they would help with part cost. Buy another brand—Whirlpool or kitchen aide. I’m sorry I ever purchased a Bosch
