Great dishwasher so far
We just got our Bosch dishwasher and have had it for a week so far. It is EXTREMELY QUIET, offers lots of loading flexibility, and cleans dishes extremely well. After a bad couple of years with our previous dishwasher, we decided it was time to look into a brand known for its quality, and we got this Bosch. The drying performance is just average. On one occasion we found a Tupperware completely filled to the brim with water (it didn't have a lid), but all the dishes came out completely dried. There's nothing too special about the drying performance of this dishwasher. The washing performance, however, is extremely satisfying. I've only seen one or two food specs ever on dishes, and we usually have low to medium-soiled loads. Probably the most astoundingly good aspect of this dishwasher is the noise level. It is SO QUIET that we have to look at the red InfoLight to tell if it's running at at all. In fact, it clocked in at 44 db, just above the advertised level, according to the Series 6 Apple Watch's decibel meter. If InfoLight wasn't a feature, we would've been wondering if it was on at all! The CrystalDry process at the end of the wash, however, produces a humming noise that's noticeably louder than the rest of the wash. It's still very unobtrusive, however. The fancy display on the control panel is another great feature. You don't have to guess the time the dishwasher will take for a certain cycle; the display tells that time right there once you've selected a cycle! For example, if you're on a tight schedule and you want to know exactly when the cycle will be done, you could just look at the display and adjust your cycle to match the time that you want it to take. The loading flexibility is another thing we like about this dishwasher. The third rack allows for even more efficient storing of silverware, in addition to the basket on the lower rack! Our old dishwasher didn't have foldable tines, so this dishwasher allows for way more dishes to be stored inside. The door is also highly fingerprint resistant, so you don't have to clean it constantly, which was something our old dishwasher suffered from. Overall, this dishwasher has definitely satisfied our needs during the first week of usage, and it seems that Bosch has gone above and beyond to create products with great performance. The only test now is to see how many years it will last.

    Would not recommend
I have had this washer for 2 years and I can't wait to replace it.  The dishes come out wet, even when using a rinse aid. I run the dish washer twice for every load. the second run is just to rinse off all the soap scum left by the first run. Picture below shows a blender bottle that was just cleaned by the dish washer.  The amount of soap scum left on the dishes is disturbing.  I would just use this dish washer as a wash rack, but the tines are so close and oddly spaced that it doesn't even work for that.  Overall, unless you enjoy drinking soap water and having water rings in your kitchen cabinets I would not recommend this dishwasher

Nothing but trouble after only two weeks
We bought this dishwasher in January 2021 for installation in our newly renovated house which we didn't move into until late March. The dishwasher wasn't used until March 24th & we've had nothing but problems with it ever since. It continually says WATER TAP even though the plumber has checked the water supply & there's no blockage whatsoever. We thought it just might be a faulty sensor but things have just gone from bad to worse. If we turn the dishwasher on it will not allow us to choose a cycle on the left or the right. No drying occurs & when we open it everything is soaking wet. Many times we try to start it & it just turns itself off & won't run at all. Last few days we were only able to get it to start twice & both times we discovered sizable pools of water in front of the dishwasher. Now after closer examination we can see the dishwasher is actually leaking while it's running & has severely damaged the adjacent cabinet & our hardwood flooring. We tried to contact Bosch today but they referred us to another company with just an answering machine. We've never owned a Bosch before & purchased it with such high expectations but this has been a disastrous purchase for us & now we must pay the cabinetmaker to come fix our cabinets etc. Very disappointed in the Bosch product!

        Does Not Dry As Advertised
One of the key features that drove us to select this more expensive model over the others was the advertised feature that it could dry plastic ware. All of our attempts to run with different settings over the past month failed to produce that result. Both dishes and plastic ware are dripping wet, not dry. The old $300 dishwasher that we replaced was able to dry more effectively than this $1150 model.

Still shaking out plastics and drying them on my island
I am so unimpressed with this product. It's a 2.5 hour cycle with crystal dry and water still pools in plastics no matter how they are tilted. I still have to spend time shaking them out and using my counter space to dry everything. If you have small plastics for children or portion control, the only place they won't flip over, is the third (top) rack, you know the rack you wanted for your cutlery, spatulas, etc. I don't wash pots in the dishwasher, so the option of lower racks is pointless. You'd think a machine that costs this much had more adjustable racks on the lower tiers. Why not all of them? All of my snack size plastics flip over and get filled with dirty water. my dog's stainless steel bowls are too wide even for the adjustable tines. This dishwasher fits classic dishes, saucers, and cereal bowls well. That's it. And I still have to pay for it. My old Frigidaire is supposedly from an inferior product line. There were many more options to secure small plastics, and adjust the tines for families who don't use standard dishes and cups.

I was skeptical buying this sight unseen, Covid, I’m glad I did! The cleaning power is amazing! I had a moose punch bowl that had eggnog in it, we dumped out the left over eggnog and left it sitting on the counter for two days, yuck! I didn’t rinse it out before I put it in to see what would happen. It came out sparkling clean along with all my Christmas meal dishes, from huge to small. I cannot believe my ham pan is sparkling clean. This thing is over the top! One of the best features is how it dries. All those items that say hand wash only? Not anymore, put it on the crystal dry setting and everything came out perfect. From my Christmas vacation moose set to my condiment tray to those inexpensive plastic 1.00 Santa plastic plates came out perfect, no melting anything. I’ll post the items that are hand wash only that was put in the dishwasher. This is worth is weight in gold! Now for drying, anything that has a rim that can hold water on top of a cup or whatever of course it’ll have a little standing water because it has no where to drain to. This dishwasher is still shocking to me of what I can put in and have it come out perfect! Thank you Bosch!

This dishwasher was very easy to install. I really like the three drawers that it has makes it easy too put spatula's and other large utensils on the top rack and bowls and glasses on the middle rack and larger pot's and plates on the bottom rack. Excellent cleaning, v. good drying, quiet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Currently, we are a household of 3.  For background, our house has a private well with a salt-based water softening system, an acid neutralizing tank, 2 sediment filters, and UV light disinfection.  Our water is not chlorinated.  Our layout is an open plan between the kitchen and a TV room. Additionally, our large dinner plates are 11 inches in diameter, small plates 7.75 inches in diameter, glass bowls 6.5 inches in diameter & 2.6 inches deep, and some shallow ceramic bowls.  We don't use fine china or stemware. We tend to run our dishwasher only when it is full or close to being full. Pros: 1.  This dishwasher is incredibly quiet on 'Normal' and barely perceptible.  On the 'Heavy' program, the loudness increases.  I'd estimate the 'Heavy' program is about 4 decibels louder than 'Normal', but we weren't forced to turn up the TV volume.  Similarly, when running a full dishwasher load on 'Auto', the washing and rinsing cycles sound approximately 4 decibels louder than the 'Normal' program at times.  When enabled and running, 'Crystal Dry' emits an extremely quiet ambient humming sound. 2.  Cleaning is excellent with few water spots.  Only one utensil with hardened, dried on cheese did not come out clean in 1 load.  This is without using rinse aid (we don't like the idea of chemical residue—even if minimal—left behind on our dishes).  There were some water spots but without the rinse aid, the end result is impressive. 3.  RackMatic is very useful.  There are three positions for the 'upper' rack (or middle rack).  Because of our 11" diameter dinner plates, the highest position is needed.  This rack can also be removed entirely. 4.  Dish drying is quite good to very good.  The dishes themselves, even without any rinse aid, tend to be very dry.  However, Crystal Dry isn't a huge improvement—see 'Cons' below. 5.  The third rack is handy and easy to remove.  We can fit 2 ceramic bowls in the center.  Otherwise, we normally add extra utensils (forks, spoons, steak knives, and butter knives).  At first glance, the rack's density appeared to block the jet spraying action, but all of our utensils and bowls have come out perfectly clean. 6.  The front display's countdown is accurate except when I ran the 'Auto' program.  In this instance, the cycle was shorter than the estimated duration. 7.  You can adjust the amount of rinse aid used or turn off the rinse aid feature (and the illuminated 'Add rinse aid' notification) all together. Cons: 1.  Drying can be a bit tricky and Crystal Dry doesn't seem to be a huge improvement.  After using the dishwasher for the first time (using 'Sanitize' as the only option), dishes are dry but there's lots of beading water on the tub's ceiling, sides, and the door.  Moreover, water is left behind on the racks and the silverware basket; numerous small puddles remained on the tub's floor.  Again, to be fair, this is without the use of rinse aid.   Crystal Dry—on the second load of dishes—did not eliminate pooling on ceramic mugs in comparison to the basic drying cycle.  Water beading is still present in the tub but it is lessened overall. However, there is an 'Intensive Drying' setting.  By factory default, it is OFF and accessed by holding down a combination of keys.  The two aforementioned loads did *not* use 'Intensive Drying'.  I enabled it for my third load of dishes while also selecting the 'Sanitize' and 'Crystal Dry' options.  There is definitely less beading of water in the tub (except the ceiling), yielding a more satisfactory result. If you can't or don't use the more intensive drying setting or options, I'd recommend keeping the dishwasher door open after a cycle.  Otherwise the water clinging to the tub might produce mold, mildew, or bad odors. 2.  The bottom rack's folding tines are not particularly useful for medium-to-smaller plates.  These are between the non-folding tines in a given row.  As a result, the space between folding and non-folding tines is very narrow.  For my small 7.75" diameter plates, this means they sometimes touch with too little room for adequate cleaning.  However, if you have very small plates or saucers, the folding tines may be useful. 3.  The tines on the 'upper' (middle) rack could use a redesign.  I find my glass and ceramic bowls aren't secure.  The bowls tend to roll out to the side.  While there are two rows of tines that fold down to accommodate larger, odd-shaped items, I'd like to see spacing adjustments to the front and back of each tine.  This allows for adjustment according to bowl depth when they're sitting upright at an angle. 4.  Cycle times can be long if you select extra options.  Some are in excess of 3 hours.  This is only a minor inconvenience for me, but may be important for others. Other observations: 1.  While researching dishwashers, some reviewers complained their Bosch models gave off a hot tar or chemical smell.  For us, there has been no noticeable smell whatsoever. 2.  The 'upper' (middle) rack needs to be inserted into one of 3 vertically-aligned suction cups at the back of the tub.  These seem to correspond to the 3 height adjustments associated with the RackMatic feature.  When the back of the rack makes first contact, push it a bit farther and you'll feel the rack move into place snugly.  If you don't do this, the handle bumps into the door on closing.  (I think this is why some people have complained about burn marks appearing on the door after washing.)  Additionally as the handle has inset metal, it may scratch the door.  I've attached a picture of the three cups for greater clarity. 3.  NB: this dishwasher does *not* have a grinder (e.g., with spinning blades) to process food particles.  You need to check and clean the filtering system at the bottom depending on your usage and dish soiling. Overall, I would recommend this dishwasher.  While being an expensive outlay, its value should manifest in a long and reliable service life.
