Built In!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally made the switch from an over stove microwave to a built in one in my island. I love, love, love the drawer. It opens and closes no problem. The sensor is spot on. I will say that the defrost takes some getting used to as it has built in pauses for turning it, etc. my old one did too but this one seems to have more. But it defrosts the meat without cooking the edges. Popcorn and potato sensors are spit on too. I would definitely buy it again!

Died after 2 years
The microwave died 2 years after installation. Very disappointed in the quality of Bosch, and their warranty.

Awesome in Cabinet Microwave

Love it.

Beware -- Fire hazard that will endanger your home and family!
After spending $1,700 on the initial unit, an extended warranty, multiple repairmen visits and two magnetrons, our 14-month-old Bosch microwave caught on fire and is now deemed irreparable.
Extended warranty people say we have to collect from Bosch. Bosch says we have to collect from extended warranty. Getting the run around from them both.
We had this microwave installed for just over one year when we remodeled our kitchen, including creating a custom built-in location for this microwave. We now have a giant hole in our kitchen island and have been fighting with Bosch and the warranty people for months.
Thankfully this diabolical machine didn't catch our entire house on fire. But nonetheless this product is a HUGE safety hazard and it should be pulled off the market (and poor suckers like those of us who purchased this machine should be compensated).
We have filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General and asked to be included in a Class Action lawsuit that was recently filed. Be safe and do not buy this machine!

Drawer Microwave
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new drawer microwave! It's so easy to use and makes my kitchen look so streamlined because I had it installed in my island. I used to have one mounted over my range. It was difficult for me to use because I'm not that tall. I couldn't see inside it and the buttons we hard to read with bifocal glasses! ( The issues with getting older!!) This is so easy to use and so much easier to lift hot foods out! I love it!!

Microwave Started Smoking After Less Than A Year
Purchased this microwave a year and a half ago, but installed it just under a year ago. Microwave started pouring out smoke from all over while we were melting butter. It has also been making an awful sound on occasion. We were concerned there was an electrical fire. We called Bosch and they will not stand behind it. Do your research before purchasing. Multiple people with this microwave are having this same problem. The solution we were provided is to put a glass of water in the microwave when we heat small things like butter, etc. Before having this issues we liked the look and functionality of the microwave, but with it's price tag, you would hope you are getting a reliable appliance. We are so disappointed BOSCH is not standing behind this problem when multiple people are having this issue.

Don't think you are actually buying a Bosch microwave. I bought this to replace my failed Sharp and this thing is clearly made by Sharp. The entire unit is identical to the OLD sharp built in microwave (they now have a newer 30" model). All the metal stampings, cord placement, interior, everything except for the face is identical. Even the the 4 mounting screws lined up perfectly. I thought I was buying a better unit, paid $500 more because I though it was a Bosch. Dissappointed, will probably have the same quality issues I had with the Sharp.f Also the "NEW" Unit, had finger prints on the control panel, so clearly this was a returned unit. The entire top of the unit cabinet was caved in, but it still seems to function fine.
