I bought this valve to connect water to a utility sink faucet. The connection was made to a 1/2 inch galvanized pipe supply line and a braided stainless steel faucet supply line which connected to the utility sink faucet. I like the 1/4 turn valves since I either want the water supply to the sink faucet to be fully on or completely turned off. Much better than the valves that require many turns to turn on or off.

It did work for my project-putting on a on/off switch for my shower head but I had to by slightly creative to make it work. It would have been better if they had a 1/2" FIP in and 1/2" FIP out. It has a small channel so I could slow the shower to a few drips or shut it off completely. We like to scrub down in the shower so we can turn off the water (without changing the temp).
