A: I would use a 1/2" plastic ball valve slip to 1/2" pvc with a 3/4" adaptor to braided on the outlet.
A: I would use a thread on the end of your CPVC/PVC plumbing (glue one on if there isn't one 1/2") and use the threaded version of this valve instead of compression.
A: You will need a slip to male NPT adapter. Are you sure the faucet is 3/4" mine was 1/2"
