Product Details

Corrosion is no match for BrassCraft's COPPER-FLEX water heater connectors. Constructed of seamless copper tubing, COPPER-FLEX water heater connectors are the professional's choice for water heater installations. Featuring an integrated dielectric sleeve, the sleeve isolates dissimilar metals within the waterway, where galvanic and electrolytic corrosion have their greatest potential. This separation provides complete protection against galvanic corrosion that can deteriorate the connector and cause leaks. In addition, the integrated dielectric sleeve eliminates the need to install an additional dielectric union, reducing time and installation costs.
  • Corrugated copper tube 7/8 in. O.D. x 24 in. L
  • End connections: 3/4 in. FIP/MIP x 3/4 in. FIP
  • No dielectric union needed, the integrated dielectric sleeve eliminates the potential for corrosion and the need to install an additional dielectric union
  • Requires less torque to seal with a pliable nitrile rubber washer, especially on rough nipple surfaces
  • Use with electric or gas water heaters or softeners, use only to connect water
  • Engineered and tested for harsh water conditions
  • Temperature rating: 40° to 180° F (NSF61 maximum 82° C)

Answer This Question

A:  Hello PK - Thank you for your question. Our Copper Water Heater Connectors are for use with electric or gas water heaters or water softeners. In August 2016, the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) adopted new Prop 65 regulations that become fully effective for products manufactured after August 30, 2018. The new Prop 65 regulations include changes to the State’s “safe harbor” requirements for warning language and use. These changes address not only the potential labeling of product packaging, but also the requirements for warnings on website landing pages and catalog pages used to sell products to consumers in California. Brasscraft Manufacturing Company is updating the labeling of our products as required to meet the new safe harbor requirements of Proposition 65. Even though a product may be found to contain a Proposition 65-‐listed chemical, it does not mean that a warning is necessarily required or that use of the product will cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm. Nor does it mean that a product is unsafe. All Brasscraft Manufacturing Company products meet or exceed the requirements of applicable product performance and industry safety standards, as well as those imposed under the federal Safe Drinking Water Act and its state law equivalents. Answer This Question

A:  Hello Jared-Thank you for your question, the WB20-24N are water heater connectors, it would not take the place as the PR Valve (pressure release valve). These would work to bring the hot and cold water into the tankless water heater. The isolation kit, can come with a PR Valve or can be purchased separately. We would recommend reading the tankless water heaters, instruction manual for their requirements when installing. Please contact our Customer Support Team at 877-272-7755 if you need further assistance.

I was impressed with the quality and flexibility of the pipe and well-made couplings with gaskets - the included adapter was a useful addition. This saved me time and money, over having to solder pipes and fittings together.
