Easy to use and can manage the rated power with out issues.

Runs well. . Hind sight, because I don’t use it for RV, the 120 v plug does not work as good as a generator that has locking outlet and 240v for house back up. Plus, the clearance is too low. And the oil drain plug bolt was tighter than a tick!

Unfortunately when I got the generator the battery was dead and it would not take a charge I had to buy a new battery

Could not get generator to turn off. We returned it.

Easy t0 put together add your oil connect the batt 1 pull start and your off and running to charge your batt up .Its quiet fuel gauge and power level is nice

Just purchased this week. I'm sure it will work well to generate power but B&S could do a better job in informing new purchasers of a few things on first day of unboxing: 1) There is a 20 oz bottle of oil and funnel on top of unit in box. No where does it say to put that oil in the generator..but you do. 2) The air filter needs to be taken out and saturated with oil. It doesn't come that way. 3) If I'm not mistaken, you have to plug in the battery. Easy to do...but the manual doesn't tell you to do that. Briggs: UPDATE your manual, please, and add basic "to do" tasks for people like me who want to follow directions.

We just ran this model during the Texas Feb 2021 winter storm where half the state lost power. We ran two space heaters full time, a TV, lights, and random appliances (fridge, microwave, air fryer, etc.) off of it for two days. It worked great. I got 15 hours on one tank of gas, and never did less than 12 hours. That's great when fuel is hard to come by. Having four outlets is awesome too. that gives you a lot of flexibility on how to hook up different loads. The digital fuel gauge is great for a quick check of fuel level before bedtime. This unit is NOT dead silent like a Honda, but not obnoxiously loud either. Without load you can barely hear it in the house. It definitely gets louder under load, but it can handle 2-3 times the load of a Honda. In my RV, you cant hear it over the AC so its fine for us. standing next to it, I could still hear my neighbors' generators over it. The only negative I would give it is that the oil change is a bit cantankerous since you have to get the unit propped up on blocks to get a drain pan under it. But other than that its very good. I did two oil changes right away as recommended and should now be good for while. The first oil change after the first hour was definitely ugly. The second one after 5 more hours of use was not so bad. For the use first out of the box I did have use the pull cord, but it popped right off. The battery has worked fine since. I try to fire it up once every 2 months just to maintain it. Some folks gave bad reviews over the battery being low on deliver. I say get over it. Its fine - batteries do that.

The electric start didn't work right out of the box. The battery was bad or a short, I don't know. But to find out Briggs and Stratton wanted me to take it to an authorized dealer to find out. For a brand new item that was unacceptable to me. Also the co2 sensor made it shut off even when it in the open.
