PERFECT FOR HAND SEWING AND READING!
I watched a video done by a lady who has this product and it was exactly as she described....it performs wonderfully!
It is stable. It magnifies well. The light capability to dim or make brighter is very helpful. Having the controls to adjust the light on the light itself is very convenient. Overall, this is a fantastic product! Worth every dollar because of the eyestrain and convenience.!

A Great Christmas Gift
I love this lamp. It rolls as easily on carpet as it does on tile. It adjusts to my height (short) and viewing area, which is often somewhat contorted depending upon what I am sewing. The magnifier is a great help to my reading glasses. I no longer worry about threading a needle or fine stitching.

This light is fantastic! I love using it for my cross-stitching. I can see so much detail that I was missing before. The rolling base and the clamp on it allows you to move it to various positions , so that I can use it in my recliner . Thanks for making such a great product!

Have 3 and will be purchasing others
The variable light intensities in warm or cool and the quality of the lamps are exceptional. Only feature lacking is an adjustment screw at the lamp itself to secure it at a preferred angle.
Excellent for your own use and a great gift to others.

Best Gift This Year
I asked for the lamp to replace another magnifier that was starting to have some issues - BEST gift. Base is heavy as mentioned but keeps everything sturdy but, best of all it's bright. I thought my other lamp was doing a good job of illuminating my stitching, but I was so wrong. This is going to make stitching on 40- and above count linen a breeze.

Nice, but too heavy
10 lbs. would be great even 15 lbs. might be acceptable, but 20 lbs does not make this very portable for many people. The rest of this lamp is fine.

I ordered this for rug hooking. I think it is excellent so far. I usually just use the LED light which is easy to position wherever you need it for excellent visibility. I have also used it with the magnifier and light which has been great for really close up views.
