With a width of 36" and the larger 24" diameter, the PRT-36BH's heavy-duty polyethylene drum can hold up to 690 lbs. Filled with sand or up to 76 gallons of water, it packs a substantial amount of lawn rolling power. The drum also features polyethylene construction to help resist dents and rust and the end caps are rounded to help prevent lawn damage when turning. When the job is complete, just use the wide-mouth fill opening to drain it for easy maneuverability and storage.
  • Ideal for large yards: 36" Rolling width and 690 lb. capacity is perfect for larger yards or bigger greenspaces - covering more ground for quicker results. Perfect tool for erasing lawn damage from moles and frost, or packing down loose dirt, seed, or sod.

  • Durable construction: Sturdy poly roller drum won't dent or rust, and resists weather damage for use season after season. Measures 36" In width.
  • Faster filling: includes fill opening with extra-large diameter to expedite filling and emptying of the drum. Can be easily filled with a garden hose.

Q:i have a 18.5 hp 42 inch craftman riding lawn mower will it pull the 600 or go smaller
by|Sep 30, 2021
4 Answers
Answer This Question

A:  Was easily able to pull it with my riding lawn mower. Flattened mole tunnels easily

by|May 6, 2022

A:  Dear Benny, thank you for your question. Yes, your mower will pull the 600lb roller.

    by|Sep 30, 2021

A:  I have a Simplicity 16 hp. and have no problem pulling it. I also am able to pull my trailer with a ton of pellets. 18.5 hp should have no problem. I would take it easy until I learn how to use it. PS use a small amount of light grease on the fill plug threads to prevent galling

      by|Oct 3, 2021

A:  You should be fine with the mower. Try to avoid steep grades and rolling when the yard is very wet to not loose traction.

          Answer This Question

A:  Yes, the steel frame needs to be assembled and attached to the round water tank.

          by|May 7, 2020

A:  Yes but very easy. Just a few nuts and bolts.

          by|May 8, 2020

A:  Very little assembly is needed. Works great

            by|May 10, 2020

A:  It does require the frame to be assembled around the roller but it is very simple to do.

              by|May 11, 2020

A:  Yes it does but it's pretty simple

                by|May 7, 2020

A:  No, not really. If I recall it only requires the tow bar be attached with 2 bolts. Very minimal.

Q:Will the poly flex on harder ground and not flatten.

                  Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question! Ground condition is vital to good leveling. Soil should be moist, but not muddy. If the ground is dry and hard, the poly roller will flex slightly and not flatten as well as if ground conditions are better.

                  by|Mar 24, 2020

A:  It does flex some in the middle but not on the edges

                    Answer This Question

A:  I am sure the frame will easily handle 300 lbs. I cracked the poly wagon but it was my fault as I loaded it with lumber on top. I am going to epoxy repair the broken area. The frame has never flexed and I have had it loaded beyond 300 lbs.

                    by|Feb 29, 2020

A:  Thank you for your question. You can fill the roller with sand or 76 gallons of water. The product is built to handle either option. So far so good, rolled 100,000 sq. ft. over two weeks. Ground should be soft when using for best results. Lawn looks good! No one else has a product this size, weight and price point, did extensive checking.

                          C-Clips for 600 lbs
As so many other reviews have pointed out. This product uses C-clips for something that weighs 600 lbs. After just a few uses the clips broke off and left me with an unusable product. Determined to get my money's worth I tapped the steel rods and bolted the frame on, but that only lasted for so long before the frame bent. The poly bin itself was never a problem. Even warping during the winter. Once you got it rolling again it evened out. But the frame and the design is so cheap. This product has been a huge disappointment. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this cheap junk.

I am uncertain about this product
Upon the receipt of this package, it appeared slightly dirty and it may has been used in the past. When I tried to assemble and I was unable to insert the choke and bolt on one side of roller to keep it intact. The rod on one side is shorter than other side thus I had great difficulty time putting choke and bolt on. I am not sure what to do with it. After this is being addressed, I believe I will have a great use of this product as I know it will definitely help me smooth my lawn area. Thanks!

Poly roller is a mixed bag.
This is a well-constructed poly roller - and I've looked at a number of them. Quality, screw-on fill cap, and pretty good bearing material. That's the good news. Bad news is that it's difficult to set up. Manufacturer recommends filling with sand - that avoids yearly draining and refilling. But if you position the roller with the fill cap in the uppermost location, it's still about 3 inches from the outer edge, and which means that you won't be able to completely fill it - whether you use water or sand. I tried filling it on a hot day, which meant that the air inside the roller was also hot. And of course when the temperature cooled off two weeks later, the air inside cooled and the roller partially collapsed. So now I have to design some kind of ramp to tilt the roller in order to completely fill it. I imagine that once it's completely filled, it will work well, but I'm not quite there yet. I think a steel-constructed roller would have eliminated most of these difficulties. I should have ignored the manufacturer's recommendation and simply filled it with water. My recommendation -- this is a very good roller, but if you get it, fill it with water to avoid a major headache!

                          Was everything I expected!
First time ordering on line with Home Depot. The Brinly-Hardy24 in. x 36 in lawn roller came in short order. I bought a smaller one from home depot but after 10 years of use it developed a crack so it was time for a new one. I use this to cultipack fields I plant for deer hunting. It is a perfect solution to more expensive products that do the same job! With up to almost 690 pounds of water you can fill inside you can level off most anything, Hope I get another good 10 years!
