Compacted soil results in thatch buildup and reduces the amount of water and nutrients your grass receives. If your lawn experiences moderate foot traffic, suffers from a thatch layer of more than 1/2 in. or if you have heavy clay soil, you may need to aerate. Aerating your lawn with Brinly's 40 in. Tow-Behind Spike Aerators loosens soil and permits seed, fertilize and water to reach roots. Our durable, heavy-duty aerator features 10 galvanized steel stars that perforate the soil up to 2 in. D. Each 8 in. Dia star rotates independently and continues revolving during tractor turns, resulting in fewer passes due to missed areas. The 14-Gauge steel, 110 lbs. capacity weight tray allows for additional weight to be added for maximum penetration in hard soil. The more you spike aerate, the better your lawn looks and feels. It works!
Aerator works as advertised. I live near the coast so my soil is somewhat sandy. I fabricated fold up wheels that work really well. I just remove the wing nuts and wells fold back. Tip; wait until after it rains a lot. The spikes didn’t penetrate as I hoped until after it rained.

Spiked aerator

Easy to assemble

Brinly - 40″ Spike Aerator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brinly 40' Spike Aerator,has been a great tool for my lawn.It hitches to the back of my rider mower and it provides my lawn with essential air ,an nutrients it needs to stay healthy and promotes long lasting beautiful grass.The Brinly Aerator is easy to attach and it has galvanized steel time stars that resist rust and penetrate the soil up to 2in deep.Thats essential for a beautiful lawn,it has a steel tray for added weight to achieve the max level of penetration of the soil. I like that I can choose how deep I want to aerate my lawn. I recommend Brinly Aerator a must have for a little awn that will get noticed.

Works Perfectly
Received this aerator a couple weeks ago. Unbox it and was super easy to assemble. (Careful those tines are super sharp). Hooked it up to my lawn tractor, added 3 large building bricks to weigh it down. Used bungees to secure bricks...and off I went. Very pleased how it worked. Went over entire lawn twice. Plan on using it quarterly. Well made product that really works. A+
