A:  If you go to brita.com you will see list of contaminants that their filter removes. I don't know for sure but PFAS and PFOA are not removed.

A:  The Brita Filters out heavy metals, copper, mercury, cadmium, chlorine, taste and odor. Its certified against NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53 and is not intended to purify water, just make it better. Its not to be used for microbiologically unsafe water.

A:  This is Brita's standard filter and is designed for better tasting water by reducing chlorine. Water does taste much better. The filter reduces zinc, mercury, copper and cadmium. It does not state that it reduces teflon.

A:  Heavy Metals, Taste and Odor, Metallic Taste, Copper, Mercury, Cadmium, Chlorine and Zinc.

A:  The box shows it meeting NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53. I recommend you look up those standards to be sure if PFAS and PFOA are filtered. The list on the box identifies chemicals removed as copper, mercury, cadmium, chlorine, and zinc. The box specifically reports that fluoride added to water supply is not removed.

A:  you may not have it in correctly, they will go in two ways but only one way will drop down and fit snuggly. Try taking it out and turning it 1/4 turn and put it back in. I had the same problem but I did that and it fit right. Good luck!

A:  You probably aren’t installing it properly. There’s a long indentation on filter and that goes in the back of unit. Should drop right in without pushing on it.

A:  Make sure the filter is on the key and press snugly, so that the filter is only getting water through the top and nothing is going down the sides of the filter.

A:  Did you rinse it for 15 seconds and push it down in the reservoir firmly? Did you discard the first 3 pictures?

A:  Are you sure you've inserted it so that larger groove in the filter aligns with the opening that has an extension? The extension looks a little bit like a dorsal fin.
