This style of fan is good for ceilings with little head room and you can get 160 cfm which is great. The outlet is 3 1/4" x 10" so stud space.

I bought this for parts to repair an existing 25...
I bought this for parts to repair an existing 25 year old fan of the same make and model. The new unit is smaller than the old one. The motor needed to be mounted to the old motor bracket and its power cord needed to be lengthened. It works, but it's still very noisy.

I have these in a locker room at a health facility.
They definitely move air.
One of the fans stopped working, the other one sounds horrible so I have to replace them. They lasted almost a full 5 years.
I have two more that are still working fine.
However they are noisy, for me this is good because it creates ambient noise while people are sharing the space.

Good fan but needs replacement every few years
I have had 2, maybe 3 of these fans in the last decade. Time to replace it again. It works fine when working but I don't understand why it stops working after a few years. It is wall installed. I clean it from time to time but does not seem to help.

A little loud, but it does the job
I was leaving the store and just happened to see this on the clearance shelf for $40 (the packaging was a little banged up). Thank goodness I did because our in-wall kitchen exhaust bit the dust a while back and we really were not wanting to pay $100 for a new motor. This was actually a ceiling exhaust fan but my husband was able to use the pieces to replace our old one. I'm thrilled! However, I know how much these things generally cost so I'm giving the value an average rating. $100 seems a little steep just for the motor but I really have nothing else to compare it to. We also used the new cover that came with it to replace our old, dingy metal cover. It looks good but it's plastic and likely won't hold up as long as our metal one has. Regardless, it all worked out to our benefit.

I like this fan, it does a great job
I bought this product about two years ago and installed it in a bathroom that has a high lightwell around a skylight above the shower/bath. There had been problems with steam and moisture on walls etc.The fan did a great job of keeping it fog free and saving the finishes on the walls and windows. It moves an impressive amount of air. This week however the motor failed. Will try to get parts for this fan instead of buying another.
I looked at the home improvement store where I bought it but they did not have this motor among the replacement/ improvement motors that they carry. Great fan, just wish it still worked.

Size was a concern, it did not fit in the space because it was round.
The equipment was fine, the box had all of the components. The appearance was good. But, it will be returned due to size.

too loud, and didnt swap out like the nutone rep. recommended
