Questions & Answers

does this heater require 110 or 220 amp?

Asked by: Mary
It can use either, the 110 uses one breaker slot while the 220 will use 2. With the 110 you are pulling all the amperage through 1 breaker slot while with 220 they are split between 2. One isn't more efficient than the other they both will pull the same total amperage. The decision is solely based on how you want to wire things at your panel.

They need to be hard wired

Can this heater be turned on and off from a wall switch or wired to a wall switch timer?

Asked by: jgs
Yes, and I would recommend doing so as it does not have it's own on/off switch.

Does this unit have a fan to help move the warm air?

Asked by: Fritter
Yes, but it is similar to any 1500W heater that you would plug into the wall. So, it is not blowing out with the force of your HVAC vents, but it does nicely in a bathroom.
