A: Hi Yovan, Thank you for your question on the 605RP heater and fan unit. What you have described is not normal. The fan and heater would normally be an on/off only. Unless you are using a variable speed control on this switch, this should not be possible. We would need to ask more information about the type of switch this is wired to. Please contact our Technical Support team directly for more assistance at 888-336-6151.
A: This fan has two separate functions. It provides heat to the space or it provides exhaust to the outside. If you are selecting both functions to operate at the same time your are defeating this fans purpose. It will also be very noisy with both the exhaust fan and heat fan operating. You may be interpreting this noise as running faster. Good idea to double check your wiring connections. Also run one function at a time.
A: The wall switch controls the light, fan and heater individually or all three.
A: Hi lance, Thank you for your question on the 605RP unit. This model will not come with a wall switch.
A: It does not. You must purchase separately a dual circuit switch.
A: Hi Eric, Thank you for your question about the 605RP unit. Yes, we would recommend a dedicated 15 amp circuit no matter where you are located.
A: Dear Customer, This model does require a dedicated 15 amp circuit. It can be installed in the bathroom, just not inside the tub or shower enclosure. Should you have questions about your local codes and what would apply, please reach out to your local building inspector or city office for more assistance.
A: I don’t know if this is true in Washington State. I am in Michigan. I installed mine in replacement of an existing bathroom vent fan. The circuit also has some lighting in the same circuit. I have had no problems with fan or heater operation. I will say the fan and heater are fairly loud when either is operating. This unit does provide comfortable heat and good exhaust operation.
