NuTone 605RP Heat-A-Vent exhaust fans make it even easier to build in warmth and comfort. With easy installation in mind, simply use the included hanger bars, which are adjustable from 16 in. to 24 in. Use the built-in junction box with receptacles to simply plug in heater and fan motors. The 1300W heating element provides fast, enveloping heat, while the efficient fan evenly distributes warm air throughout room. An efficient, quiet blower exhausts stale air and moisture to refresh the bath atmosphere for two functions in one unit that are compactly-designed to save on installation time and expenses.

Not sure but my ceiling is 9ft and I installed above the toilet( where the old fan was) which is next to the shower. So this unit gives out a lot of heat in the whole bathroom.

Should you run the heat and exhaust at the same time? Or will it wear out the unit?

Have an older unit like this one, that's about 25 years old. Can tell you with some authority, that running heat and exhaust at the same time is perfectly fine.

The heat/fan was exactly what I needed. It was perfect for my bath and the 1300w heater was able to be used with the existing wiring.

Providing a fan and a heater in one unit is exactly what I was looking for. The heater put out plenty of heat for my small bathroom but it is very very noisy. Since the bathroom with this unit is on the lower level and we live on the upper level this noise has one advantage -- hard to forget that it is on.
