The installation was straightforward and the fan moved a lot of air. I thought it might be a little more quiet, but it's not bad. The problem was that the unit only works a third of the time. I called Broan technical support and they are sending a replacement unit. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Excellent exhaust fan!
Excellent exhaust fan and light combo. Great feature with the automatic humidity control. Very quiet for its size as well.

I ordered two of these and one of the ZB80L1, everything worked great and super quiet; that said, the blower on one of the QTXE's started hesitating and eventually not spinning unless you physically gave it a spin with your hand, I believe there is a relay within the blower that works like a VFD, so-to-speak, customer service took my call and sent me out a new plug and play blower no questions asked, can't beat that...

Good fan, but not designed as a retrofit. The fan is as quiet as advertised and it’s nice to be able to select what kind of speed you want. It seems to be of high quality and the LED lights are bright enough to fill a large bathroom. We were concerned about the light =level but it’s quite good. The only negative I would say is that the instructions only contemplate new construction installation. This particular fan is made for new construction. You certainly can make it fit in an existing house but it’s a fair amount of work and requires access from above.
